Will the GOP support or fight Trump?

This is an election like no other I can remember. Despite Donald Trump increasing his delegate lead, his support still appears circumscribed. He did not win a majority of GOP primary voters in any of the 30 states and territories that have completed primary voting.

In previous presidential primary years, the leading candidate’s momentum tends to raise. Donald Trump has more than half the delegates he needs to secure the Republican nomination, but there is no overwhelming momentum in sight. An open, controversial convention seems increasingly likely. The GOP “trolley” is as likely to fight Donald Trump as to join his populist victory parade.

Many longtime GOP voters are very concerned. They have not forgotten the early impression their favorite made on them. Even as Trump supporter Ben Carson suggested; there seem to be two Trumps. There is an aggressive attacker ready to humiliate anyone who confronts him, and now a more polite and “presidential” delegate leader who tries to call for party unity.

Trump is unsure where he stands on key issues, preferring to stick to his own talking points, such as “making America great again” and “helping America win, win, win.” He has refused to participate in another debate, and if he comes close and is not the party’s nominee, he warns, “I think there would be riots… Bad things would happen.”

Trump remains critical of the Washington establishment, whose Senate and House are controlled by the same party he claims to support and want to lead. He has donated heavily to Republicans and Democrats over the years, citing political access for his business interests.

In tiny, principled Republicans don’t know what drives their leading candidate. He talked and talked without any clear political achievements. It’s uncomplicated to imagine what you’d like to believe a “truth-telling” “outsider” would bring to the White House. In the absence of clear positions on key issues, there are as many “Trumps” as there are “Trump supporters”. If you want A surprise for the presidential candidateTrump is your man!

The election may come down to a tough choice – Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Even though it’s not uncomplicated, I would choose Trump Surprise Package over a flawed and potentially impeachable liberal Democrat who has stern trust issues. In addition to the constraints that both sides face, voters should consider the team they will take with them to the executive branch – the cabinet and the nominations to head key agencies that set the platform’s priorities. It’s time for a balancing administration after eight years of liberal “transformation.”

There is a process for dealing with this incredible election year. That’s why we have a convention and a set number of delegates needed to secure the nomination. It’s the people’s choice, but so far Donald Trump has not won a majority of the Republican Party vote in any state. With the race down to three candidates, the race is getting tighter. How will this car start moving?

Both Donald Trump and Ted Cruz can be considered Washington outsiders. Trump has attracted those who are irate with the Washington establishment, which is looking for a savior businessman who can “make deals” and transform America. Cruz’s preachy style and unpopular positions often made him unpopular with his GOP colleagues. John Kasich has experience at the state and federal levels. He’s a governor who has proven he can rally the support of those who know him best – and Ohioans delivered him a landslide victory. We only have three choices left.

Neither will likely win the votes they need to secure their election, but by the time the convention rolls around, we’ll know a lot more about each of these potential candidates. For those of us in California, there’s an added bonus. Our June California primary will finally count. So be an informed voter. Demand more detail from each candidate on the issues that matter most to you. Let’s have more controversial primaries, and may the best candidate win.
