Why is the left allowed to be “transphobic” and racist?

Last week I he asked Why there was no outrage from LGBTQ activists when Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner was “misgendered” and ridiculed by the left after announcing he would run for governor of California. (In fact, some of the mockery came from LGBTQ activists who portrayed Jenner as a fame-hungry reality star.) And where was the outrage when Bill Maher challenged the “born this way” dogma, stating“I wasn’t always sure about this gender thing, but low capital gains taxes — I was born that way.”

There were scattered voices of protest, to be sure, but not a fraction of what would have happened had the ridicule been directed at someone like Richard “Rachel” Levine, President Biden’s nominee for deputy secretary of Health and Human Services.

But all of that pales in comparison to some of the attacks on Senator Tim Scott after he responded forcefully to Biden’s speech to Congress on Wednesday night.

As Mollie Hemingway he tweeted in response to Twitter-supported tweet by “Uncle Tim”: “Twitter decides to incite racist left-wing attack on Senator Tim Scott, a black Republican senator from South Carolina.”

Others paid attention to a now-deleted tweet from Scott Nevins that stated, “Sen @TimScottSC is an Uncle Tom killing his life. This is so sad. South Carolina should be ashamed.” (Nevins’ Twitter bio reads, in part, “TV Personality & Host | LGBTQ Politics, Entertainment & News Contributor.”)

In his favor is the fact that Nevins apologized, tweet“Tonight I tried to make fun of Senator Tim Scott by using the term ‘Uncle Tom’ in my response. While I was shocked by his lack of self-awareness, I shouldn’t have used that term myself, even to refer to him. This wasn’t right. Sorry.”

However, this was only a fragment of the attack on Scott, which he replied“Intolerance so often comes from the left, with words like ‘Uncle Tim’ and ‘the N-word’ being used against me. And last night, “Uncle Tim” reigned supreme on social media, and they doubled down on this concept of liberal oppression. It is stunning that in 2021, those who talk about ending discrimination want to end it with more discrimination.

“The left has doubled down by saying they are not going to attack my politics, but they are literally attacking the color of my skin.”

We’re talking about wanting to keep the black man in his place. Dare to cross the forbidden ideological line and side with the conservatives, and you will become an enemy right down to the color of your skin.

Let’s talk about discrimination and control. Let’s talk about overt racism.

Can you imagine the confusion if, for example, Sean Hannity or Tucker Carlson used a derogatory term related to skin color to describe a liberal African-American?

But these openly racist, keep-the-black-man-in-his-place comments are nothing modern on the left.

In fact, this week’s host of “Breakfast Club” is Rashawn “DJ Envy” Casey came under fire when he dared to defend an Ohio police officer who fatally shot black teenager Ma’Khia Bryant before she could stab another black teenager.

He said one Twitter critic (herself a person of color): “yes, DJ Envy. you are in fact a raccoon. we’ve been saying this for years. thanks for finally joining the show.”

Last year, Terry Crews was labeled a raccoon for posting tweets like this This: “Are all white people bad?

“NO.

“Are all black people good?

“NO.

“Knowing this reality – I stand by my decision to unite with good people, regardless of race, creed or ideology.

“Given the number of threats against this decision-

“I also decided to die on this hill.”

In response, Rick Ross he said“Terry Crews is another raccoon who was basically bought.” Are Republicans and Conservatives racist? Seriously?

Brando Simeo Starkey, writing for The Undefeated, he stated“With their quirky public appearances, Kanye West and Terry Crews turned these difficult months into the Summer of the Shed.”

And he concluded his article this way: “Yes, being called a raccoon tends to hurt the spirit. But black people must be able to defend themselves against members who sabotage the well-being of the race.”

In other words, you deserve the epithet, so claim it. There’s nothing racist about it!

In some cases, these are people of color attacking other people of color (as in Starkey’s case). In other cases, white people throw daggers.

But either way, it’s clear that racial slurs are acceptable when an African American leaves the ideological plantation. (Candace Owens would be the latest, outstanding example this.) And yet every day the left reminds us that “Yes, it is clear that the R in “Republican” stands for racist.”

Of course, I support a vigorous debate about which party’s policies best facilitate people of color. And I am very much for the left and I pay attention to the blind spots on the right.

However, in this case, it’s time for the right to pay attention to the blind spots of the left – very ugly, wicked blind spots.

Therefore, I would like to recommend to those who call themselves liberals and pride themselves on tolerance to take a long and difficult look at themselves in the mirror before accusing others of racism.

The most blatant, unvarnished, and uncompromising manifestations of this racism are not the exclusive domain of radical white supremacists. They can also be found in the hearts of many on the left when that line is crossed.
