Radicals are pushing a federal takeover of elections with a key vote on the (*1*) – part of their plan with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to transform America into a indefinite, one-party socialist nation.
The Senate Rules Committee on Tuesday voted along party lines to send S. 1 — the Senate version of H.R. 1, which is officially called the For the People Act but is more properly called the Corrupt Politicians Act — to the Senate floor. Normally, a 9-9 tie in the Rules Committee would mean the bill would fail, but Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) broke through a distortion of Senate rules to move legislation and nominations that should have died in committee to the Senate floor.
Typically, a Senate committee vote seems so lifeless that you only hear about it when you stumble upon a news station on your way to finding a baseball game on TV. But this time, your children’s freedom is at stake, as Senate Democrats are one step closer to eradicating the freedoms that make America the greatest nation on earth.
S. 1 is an 880-page federal takeover of all elections nationwide, repealing voter ID and other commonsense election integrity protections, and mandating monthly mail-in voting and other measures that could take over elections in every state for every subsequent election. This would ensure that Republicans would never win another presidential election or control of Congress.
When S. 1 hits the floor, Republicans will employ the filibuster, when it normally takes 60 votes to pass it. But Schumer is determined to employ the “nuclear option” to blow up more than a century of Senate rules to abolish the filibuster and push S. 1 through on a 50-50 party-line vote because the Constitution says the vice president breaks all tied votes, and Vice President Kamala Harris is eager to seize indefinite American power by making the vote 51-50.
Only two Democratic senators who say they won’t destroy the filibuster stand in their way: Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ). If either keeps their word, S. 1 won’t pass.
Biden has relentlessly urged the Senate to pass S. 1, even bringing Manchin to the White House before the committee vote, no doubt trying to talk the West Virginian into breaking his promise to his home state. Gone is the Biden of decades past, replaced by an ancient, tired, radicalized version of Biden who robotically supports the agenda of extremist socialists, placed on his desk for signature by Harris, White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain, Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D- CA).
It is significant for all Americans to understand how S. 1 (H.R. 1) Corrupt Politicians Act fits into this power grab aimed at fundamentally transforming America into a socialist country under indefinite one-party rule.
The key to freedom is that our Constitution takes the power of government and breaks it. It breaks the power between the federal government and the states. It also breaks the federal power between the president, Congress and the Supreme Court and pits them against each other. If the power players are engaged in arm wrestling, that forces them to leave you free to live your life. That formula has worked for us for over 200 years.
The common thread among the various pieces of legislation Democrats are trying to push is that it would kill the Liberty Formula, not just S. 1. They are trying to pass H.R. 51 to make D.C. a state that would give them two more Democratic senators and an immediate 52-48 majority , to break through their radical socialist program. They are trying to pass a massive amnesty to turn 11 million illegal aliens into voting citizens who would vote for a indefinite expansion of the welfare state, paid for by hard-working Americans. They are trying to pack the Supreme Court by increasing its number from nine to 13 so that they have a guaranteed liberal majority that will seal all their unconstitutional socialism.
Each of these four bills would give the far-left wing of the Democratic Party — Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Cori Bush, Mondaire Jones — indefinite control of the House of Representatives, the Senate, the White House — and even the Supreme Court.
Schumer is doing his part to push this agenda through the floor. Once he gets S. 1 through the Senate Rules Committee, he will put full pressure on Manchin and Sinema to relent in their commitment to their states and the nation to protect the role the filibuster plays in making the Senate a place where elder statesmen need to build consensus to pass transformative legislation.
When it comes to election integrity, Republican governors and legislators across the country continue to pass bills to restore decades-old election protections that were abandoned in recent years — laws that make voting easier but harder to cheat.
With HR 1 and S. 1, Biden, Harris, Pelosi, and Schumer are pressing ahead with a key element of seizing perpetual power and fundamentally transforming America.
