NAACP Responds to Trump’s RSVP Rejection

NAACP (National Association for Cultural Action) invited Donald Trump is scheduled to speak at their annual meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio next week, especially since he’ll already be in the area for the RNC convention in Cleveland. But the future GOP nominee declined their request, citing scheduling conflicts.

“Mr. Trump declined our invitation, so we’ll hear from Secretary Clinton… Namely, the explanation was that (the Republicans) were having a convention at the same time. We’re in Cincinnati, of course, they’re in Cleveland. We were hoping that he would make the short trip from Cleveland to Cincinnati.”

While this development will not go over well with the African-American community, Trump found time to address race relations during an appearance on “The O’Reilly Factor” Wednesday night with Larry O’Connor common in Hot Air.

“Well, I’d like to say yes, but you really can’t unless you’re African-American. Because I understand what’s going on in life, and I understand that our country’s economy is not the same. That people are making significantly less than they were 18 years ago. That our jobs are leaving the country… that our education system stinks, it’s absolutely horrible.”

Time will tell how the rejection of his RSVP will affect his standing among minorities.
