It seems that the star witnesses in the Trump and Ukraine impeachment trials simply burned the Democrats’ narrative.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is the Democratic impeachment playmaker. The left has taken the Trump-Ukraine story from start to finish. It’s even worse than the myth of Russia collusion. The whistleblower alleged that Trump pressured Ukrainian political leadership to investigate Hunter Biden’s position on the board of a Ukrainian energy company or risk having military aid withheld. The so-called whistleblower did not eavesdrop on the call; it’s all second-hand information, and Ukraine received aid. That wasn’t even brought up in the call, according to a transcript released by the Trump White House. Furthermore, there was no quid pro quo in testimony today before the House Intelligence Committee by State Department officials Bill Taylor and George Kent.

This so-called whistleblower is a CIA agent, a registered Democrat, and worked with a Democratic candidate in the 2020 election. His complaint was reviewed by Adam Schiff’s staff before it was filed. The first phase of this impeachment process was conducted in secret. Democrats didn’t want open hearings. Open hearings exposed the collusion narrative as a fraud. They tried to keep it in the bunker as long as they could, giving Republicans on the committee only brief summaries based on hours of testimony that could only be read in the presence of a Democratic staffer. Schiff even ordered witnesses to ignore GOP questions while the process was shrouded in secrecy (via Fox News):

House Republican leaders, in a heated news conference … said House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., prevented a witness at the latest impeachment hearing from answering certain questions from House Republicans.

Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., and Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, told reporters that Schiff shut down Republican lines of questioning during a hearing with Army Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the last current or former Trump administration official to appear before Congress in connection with the impeachment inquiry.

“When we asked [Vindman] spoke to after the big events in July — Adam Schiff said, ‘No, no, no, we’re not going to let him answer that question,'” Jordan said.

Jordan added that Schiff appeared to be breaking his own rules regarding hearings, suggesting the chairman was acting almost as a “lawyer” for Vindman.

Now the vote has taken place. This investigation is official. It’s been released, but Schiff is still a very senior impeachment candidate. Taylor and Kent are poking holes in the quid pro quo allegations, so you can understand why Schiff interrupted Republican question time during these proceedings.

This is a scam, people. Like the Russian collusion, it is pure garbage. This is and always has been about getting Trump out for any reason they could find before the 2020 election. Time is running out. Time is up — and this quid pro quo nonsense remains. This is not about upholding institutional integrity or enforcing the rule of law. This is about the Democratic Party’s inability to accept that it has been utterly and completely defeated.

As the Roman general said at the beginning of the movie Gladiator, “A people should know when they’ve been conquered.”
