DHomeland Security Director Alejandro Mayorkas is preparing a 45-day “independent security check“about the attempted assassination of Donald Trump on July 13. For this task, Mayorkas selected: Boss David Mitchellformer Superintendent of the Maryland State Police and former Secretary of the Delaware Department of Public Safety and Homeland Security; Mark Filipformer federal judge and deputy attorney general under President George W. Bush; Mrs. Frances Townsendformer Homeland Security Advisor to President George W. Bush and former Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano. Her work in this position gives people reason to be amazed.
Following President Obama’s lead, Napolitano has removed the word “terrorism” from the DHS lexicon and removed experts who have drawn a link between militant Islam and terrorism. Under Napolitano’s supervision, DHS has published: Right-wing extremism: current economic and political climate fueling resurgence of radicalization and recruitment. In effect, DHS has targeted Americans committed to their constitutional rights as domestic terrorists and violent extremists. It’s the same shift that’s happening in the Biden-Harris administration.
Napolitano also began releasing detainees from immigration detention centers and distorting the numbers. She claimed the border was more secure than ever and opposed state efforts to deter illegal crossings. According to Senator Jeff Sessions, Napolitano’s tenure at DHS was “defined by a constant disrespect for the rule of law.” Consider also Napolitano’s reign as UCLA president, which began in 2013.
Under the California Civil Rights Initiative (Proposition 209), approved by voters in 1996, state universities are prohibited from imposing racial or ethnic preferences in admissions. Napolitano, who has never been a teacher, criticized the law as barrier to “diversity”.” Napolitano made the University of California a refuge by founding and funding UCLA Undocumented Student Legal Services Centerand ruling that UC campus police would not cooperate with federal authorities.
While Napolitano was collecting tuition fees, he secretly accumulated corruption fund of $175 millionwhich she spent on benefits for UC staff and chancellors. State Auditor Elaine Howle reported that Napolitano’s office “he interfered on purpose” with their investigators. At one of the meetings of the UC Supervisory Board, students shouted “Arrest Napolitano!” and “Janet has to go!” Napolitano was never held accountable and He remained in the UC position until August 2020..
Before becoming Obama’s DHS chief, Napolitano was Arizona’s governor, a position she appointed Scott Bales, her former campaign lawyerto the state’s highest court. Governor Napolitano also vetoed bills the aim of which was to combat illegal immigration, which was further facilitated by DHS.
University of Virginia law graduate Janet Napolitano made her public debut in 1991 in a campaign to keep Clarence Thomas off the U.S. Supreme Court. Anita Hill had accused Thomas of sexual harassment, and Napolitano represented Hill in the case. After speaking with Napolitano, Hill’s witness, Susan Hoerchner, suddenly had amnesia date of alleged office harassment.
If Napolitano had any influence, it would constitute perjury, a felony, but the attorney declined to answer senators’ questions. As one report put it, “it would be a grave injustice if the Democratic majority allowed Napolitano to maintain a secret and become a federal law enforcement officer.”
Janet Napolitano has no experience in the intelligence field, but in May 2022, Joe Biden nominated her for the position Intelligence Advisory Board to the President, which provides “an independent source of advice on the effectiveness of the Intelligence Community in meeting the nation’s intelligence needs and the vigor and insight with which it plans for the future.”
DHS chief Mayorkas is now appointing Napolitano to independently review the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump, now the Republican presidential candidate. If people thought Janet Napolitano was the worst possible choice and that the “independent” review would turn out to be a cover-up or a cover-up, it would be tough to blame them.
