This The Democratic Machine is preparing in a panic to overwhelm President Joe Biden. What a bunch of rednecks.
Biden is driving the Democratic wagon toward electoral gapbut that was predicted a year ago among leading Democrats. Even as they tried to fool and bluff Americans into November, they saw Biden’s growing weakness. Age happens. This is not a character flaw, but a one-way trip.
At the beginning of the year, Democratic leaders he knew Biden was not suitable for tough political campaigning. Respectfully, gently, privately and publicly, some urged him to pass the torch. He refused, and then the Democrats made their ultimately fatal mistake. They withdrew.
Instead, they placed their hopes in the legal battle waged against Donald Trump, but the case was dismissed it fell apart. And even when Trump suffered minor losses, the political persecution was so obvious that the losses turned into victories. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right? Trump became stronger.
What else could leading Democrats do if Biden resisted? now he doesCongressional leadership should have privately, and if necessary, publicly, told Joe that he had to go.
If he had continued to resist, party superleaders, starting with former President Barack Obama, should have put down the hammer. They should have firmly insisted that major Democratic donors put aside their checks.
No money for Biden’s campaign. No Biden campaign. Biden is stubborn, but even he couldn’t resist this message.
The democratic machine, knowing what had to be done, pressed gently, met resistance, and then meekly withdrew into the shadows.
Biden’s debate performance ended the show. The deception was over, the ruse failed. Still, stubborn Joe he refused to go.
Perhaps if Biden admitted the truth and ended his campaign quickly, the Democrats could regroup, rally under a fresh flag, and effectively compete with the Trump machine. The days were precious, but the Democratic machine still rumbled with its anxiety.
There were isolated voices calling for Biden to withdraw, but none of them made any difference.
Now that it’s too tardy, especially after the assassination attempt on Trump and his reactions, not to mention the great Republican convention, Democrats are increasing the pressure on Biden. Panic, your name is Schumer, Pelosi and Jeffries. This is nonsense.
Biden will lose to Trump in a crushing defeat. As even AOC admitsIf Biden pulls out, his successor will lose even more. It’s too tardy. They know it, as do every single one of the names mentioned as alternatives. They would be better off sticking with Biden, taking the blows, and moving on.
What about the alternatives that have been asked to create a 2024 version of Pickett’s impeachment? The most obvious justification for accepting the challenge is arrogance. It could lure California Gov. Gavin Newsome or Vice President Kamala Harris.
Or they could pray for a miracle. But considering Trump millimeter of survival of the attackIt is doubtful that anyone is religious enough to believe in miracles.
What about the good order of believing that a credible Biden successor could facilitate get out the vote? Such selflessness is occasional among current Democrats, but you never know.
One rationale justifies this problem. The Democratic Party is destined for some time of reflection and seclusion. An alternative to Biden would gain invaluable experience in a national campaign, as well as a gigantic boost in name recognition.
Experience and name recognition would give any 2024 scapegoat a gigantic advantage in future campaigns. But before they get too far, Democrats will first have to find a cure for shyness, because in the Trump-Vance era, it will always be chains and knives at dusk.
