A modern report examines the possible effects November 5th Elections and the prospect of President Joe Biden using force to maintain power.
“President Biden is in a very good position to retain the White House by force in the event of an unfavorable election result,” reads the report by the Transition Integrity Project 2024, led by The Heritage Foundation. Supervision project.
Analyzing the victory scenario of Donald Trump, who lost the 2020 presidential election to Biden, the report added:
The Biden administration’s lawlessness — at the border, in personnel matters, and in its routine disregard of court orders — makes clear that the current president and his administration not only have the means but also the intent to circumvent constitutional constraints and ignore the will of voters who are demanding a modern president.
The Transition Integrity Project involved scenarios with more than 50 participants from politics, government, law, national security, media, and academia. The project explored how mass illegal immigration and potential interference from Russia, China, and Iran could impact the 2024 elections.
Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts said at the end of a Thursday news conference on the report that election integrity should not be judged through the prism of political party or ideology.
“This is not a left or right problem. This is an American problem,” Roberts said. “As I’ve said to the media, particularly the left-wing media — which we love and respect but disagree with — we need to get this country back to an election cycle where every single American wakes up and believes that their vote will be counted, that there will be a successful transition, that there will be no more problems with election integrity.”
The name of the initiative run by Heritage is similar to Transitional Integrity Project 2020 produced by, but not affiliated with, a group of anti-Trump Democrats and Republicans. The 2020 project was founded by Georgetown University law professor Rosa Brooks and Nils Gilman, vice president of the Berggruen Institute think tank. It included many of the political veterans who participated in the “war games.”
One scenario in the 2024 report is a Trump victory, after which Biden would call on Democratic governors to send alternate slates of electors if Trump wins their states.
Much of the information about the “war games” conducted before the 2020 election has been leaked to the press. In this case, Heritage’s Oversight Project published a report describing the findings in detail.
“We are not like the mysterious Transition Integrity Project of 2020,” Mike Howell, executive director of the Oversight Project, said at a news conference before he opened it to answer questions from reporters about the report.
During the event, many of the people involved in developing the 2024 scenarios discussed the report’s conclusions.
Howell touched on Biden’s Executive Order 14019, which requires all federal agencies to mobilize voters.
“Right now, every single one of you here is actively supporting the Biden administration’s reelection efforts with taxpayer dollars,” Howell said of implementing Biden’s order. “They’re particularly active in places that I honestly consider predatory.”
Scenarios in the 2024 report include Attorney General Merrick Garland ordering Trump’s arrest days after he wins the election on Nov. 5. In another scenario, Trump wins but Biden and Garland’s Justice Department immediately launches a multistate investigation into voter intimidation and orders local officials to stop releasing the results.
“If people accept the lie that a Trump win would spell the end of the nation, some may feel justified in manipulating the process to prevent that outcome,” the report concludes. “The TIP 2024 exercises suggest that President Biden and his allies — with the help of a heavily armed government bureaucracy and loyal proxies in the corporate media — are well-positioned to undermine election procedures or contest results that go against their interests.”
