Former presidential candidate, Vivek Ramaswama, who recently left the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) founded by President Donald Trump and managed by Elon Musk, abandoned more tips on the possible governorate campaign in Ohio during Wednesday appearance on the comedy podcast “glaring”.
Asked by the comedian Andrew Schulz why Ramaswama left the dog at the beginning of the Trump administration, the potential candidate for the governor quoted the technological direction of the committee, but also said that participation in the DOGE may prevent him from applying for a public office.
“It was my plan even before the Doge was created, but after leaving the campaign to follow the road probably seeking the governor of Ohio,” said Schulz Vivek. “When it became clear that you are not able to do certain things, being part of the federal government, I made a choice.”
Describing his vision of Ohio, the Republican appealed to the legendary history of the production of the state, suggesting that the state could achieve similar under the administration of Ramaswamy.
“The fact is that we probably will not be the rubber capital or the glass capital again, but it can be a and AI data capital,” said Ramaswama. “It can be the capital of biotechnology, it can be the capital of aviation exploration and space, it can be the capital of semiconductor production, a defensive industrial base in the country.”
He told the podcasters: “There is no reason why the heart of the country, which was a pioneering state, which was the borders, which was the heart of the industrial revolution, which should be somehow moved yesterday.”
Ramaswama comes from Ohio and told Schulz and his cohost to that the state can boast of the unique advantages that leave this success.
“Why do I favor Ohio? This is not random. This is a state in a country that still has one of the best waterways – said Ramaswama. He added: “60 percent of the North American population is literally during the Ohio one -day driving.”
He added that Ohio also offers: “Access to the same talent base, which I have always had, which is a great base of talents,” and later said that he hopes that Ohio will be another place for people leaving California and New York, appointing to quoting recently success from Texas and Florida when attracting recent companies and residents.
“It would be nice to lead to what people call, I hate the term rust belt, but what people call the rust belt,” said Ramaswama.
He told “glaring” hosts: “I think it could be awakening the country’s belt. The state of perfection is what I want to help us. And I think it would be pretty cool, not only for the state of Ohio, but in the Democracy Laboratory to show the rest of the country what is possible. “
