We have two situations here. The liberal media and Democrats will either go into a frenzy or it will be ignored as 2020 comes to an end and the Georgia runoff could lead to weeks of chaos later. On the other hand, there is a sense of dismay over President Trump’s latest selection for the Medal of Freedom. Reps. Devin Nunes (Calif.) and Jim Jordan (R-OH) were selected for this civilian honor. These two have been at the forefront of debunking the myth of Russian collusion and defending Trump’s presidency against overwhelming enemies on the Hill and in the media. They also played key figures in refuting false claims made by colleagues Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler as Democrats launched investigations into Trump after 2018 in hopes of impeaching the president.
Nunes is the one who largely uncovered what many believe to be a deep state conspiracy against President Trump, who early in his career experienced coordinated leaks aimed at weakening his administration (via Hill):
As reported by The Washington Post and The New York Times on Sunday, President Trump plans to award Republican Devin Nunes (from California) the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest US decoration awarded to a civilian.
The president is expected to award the California Republican with the Medal of Freedom on Monday, newspapers reported, citing officials familiar with the plans. Nunes has been a staunch ally and defender of Trump throughout his presidency.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), another of the president’s supporters in the House, is also scheduled to receive the Medal of Freedom next week, although those plans are not yet finalized, according to newspaper reports.

Both Nunes and Jordan defended Trump during the Justice Department’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and during the 2019 House impeachment inquiry – investigations that Trump described as a “witch hunt.”
I mean, receiving this medal is a large deal and will probably generate some media interest who will have to go back and find out the story. This will lead to a fierce defense of the presidency by the two, which to some extent repeats the nonsense of Russian collusion in having to repeat the fiasco that has engulfed the country for three years. There will be questions about whether the medal itself was degraded because of… the “orange man… evil”. The media has been on the same track for years. So if you have a meltdown because of this, don’t be surprised. This is because two congressmen are being rewarded for not believing the mountains of nonsense that the liberal media has been churning out in their Russia collusion stories.
