Were Some who doubted that President Donald J. Trump not to run for re-election. Well, those rumors can be put to rest now, as the president appears to be very much set on running for a second term. Sirens were wailing on Drudge when it was announced that Brad Parscale, the digital director of the 2016 campaign, would be taking the reins as campaign manager for the 2020 campaign.
The announcement comes 980 days before the next presidential election. There were people at CPAC whom Townhall ran into who also expressed doubts about Trump running again.
It could also be an attempt to quickly kill Ohio Gov. John Kasich’s 2020 hopes. The term-limited Ohio Gov. I’m considering running for the White House againwhich would be disastrous for Republicans. A third party by Kasich could do solemn damage to the GOP’s hopes for success in 2020.
