Kari Lake continues to gain support as she runs for a U.S. Senate seat in Arizona, and Townhall has learned that she also has the endorsement of Senate Foreign Relations Committee Ranking Member James Risch (R-ID).
In a statement to Townhall, Risch criticized both President Joe Biden and Senate Democrats while applauding Lake. “Joe Biden and Senate Democrats have made America less safe and less prosperous. Arizona needs a senator who will fight for the American dream. I am PROUD to endorse Kari Lake for the Arizona Senate. “She will fight to secure America’s future,” Risch shared.
“I couldn’t be more humbled by Senator Risch’s support. He is a man of integrity who stood up for American strength and freedom. I look forward to winning a Senate seat in Arizona so we can work for the American president of the people,” Lake also said.
Risch joins a long list of other Republicans supporting Lake. She was endorsed by former and potentially future President Donald Trump when she launched her Senate bid last October. Many of Risch’s senators, including Marsha Blackburn (TN), Tom Cotton (AR), Joni Ernst (IA), Bill Hagerty (TN), Roger Marshall (KS), Rand Paul (KY), and Tommy Tuberville (AL) also declared their support. Senate Republican Conference Chairman John Barrasso also endorsed Lake for the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) and NRSC Chairman Steve Daines (MT). In the House of Representatives, GOP Burgess Owens of Utah’s 4th Congressional District also endorsed it.
As for other brand up-to-date endorsements, Sen. John Cornyn (Texas) also endorsed Lake on Friday, and Sen. J.D. Vance (OH) endorsed her on Tuesday.

I’m glad I have the senator’s support @JDVance1.
He was a conservative hero in the Senate, standing for America First values and never backing down from the DC swamp.
I look forward to joining him in the Senate to get our country back on track. pic.twitter.com/9IV1m0KtIF

The 2024 Senate map already looks favorable for Republicans in terms of pick-up opportunities, and Arizona is considered one of them the best racing to watch. Senator Kyrsten Sinema, who has been an independent parliamentarian since December 2022, has still not announced whether she will run for re-election, even though it’s face to face the signing deadline is April 1 and he has not yet submitted the necessary documents.
Regardless of what Sinema ultimately does, the race between Lake and Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego is already a memorable one.
