Former President Donald Trump went Really sharply criticized Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in a lengthy statement Wednesday evening because he likely fears the governor will be a threat in the 2024 presidential primaries. Spencer and our friends from Twitchy highlighted some of the reactions. Within 40 minutes, Trump sent a message four statements with Save America PAC.
INBOX from a few minutes ago. Donald Trump’s latest statement. I want to ask BUT WHY?!? and call to STOP. But we all know why and that it won’t happen. Let’s hope DeSantis does NOT take the bait on this one. I hate sloppy primaries, y’all… pic.twitter.com/UaOummUQiE

As Republicans react to Trump’s comments, including those who supported him in both presidential bids, another very unwanted figure enters the conversation: Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson.
Ron DeSantis is the leading Never Trump candidate in the country.

As our friends from Twitchy also underlinedthere were plenty of replies calling out Wilson. This includes Stephen L. Miller, who told him in no uncertain terms to stay away from it, although some of the language requires a language warning.
You can’t go through the back door. Whenever. Enjoy the hits of MSNBC. You deserve it.

In addition to the usual reasons why DeSantis shouldn’t want anyone associated with the Lincoln Project to mention him to anyone associated with the Lincoln Project, as Jim Treacher pointed out, Wilson and his group have already attacked the governor.
That’s probably why you keep hitting him.

They released in April “Bad for business” ad. against DeSantis and in delayed October, in the final weeks before the election, published an ad claiming that the popularly elected governor was engaging in “tyranny.” From its October 24 premiere through Election Day Tuesday, The Lincoln Project shared the ad no less than seven times. On Election Day, they also tweeted a statement that DeSantis was “turning Florida into an authoritarian state.”

On Tuesday, DeSantis was re-elected by almost 20 points, defeating Charlie Crist, who this time ran for the Democratic Party. He scored better than the RealClearPolitics (RCP) polling average. he had it with him advantage +12.2.
Despite the timing and promotion of such an ad, Wilson went on a long, profanity-laced tirade on Wednesday about how DeSantis was expected to win, even claiming that DeSantis should have won by a larger margin. He suggested Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, whom Crist beat August primary school difference of almost 25 points, he could have done better.
1/ A quick note about Florida.
What the hell did you think was going to happen?
The Florida GOP is hands down the best Republican party in the country. He has endless money, a wide pool of consultants and agents and *wins.*

4/ Florida was and has been a red state for a generation; The Blue wins were largely just statistical noise, certainly on a statewide level. This victory is not what they think.
— Rick Wilson (@TheRickWilson) November 9, 2022
6/ Why did we have a few drinks at DeSantis? Due to the much longer game in the 2024 election battlefield and keeping Trump outraged and furious. It worked; cf. Trump’s last week of seething hatred for Tater.
— Rick Wilson (@TheRickWilson) November 9, 2022
7/ It’s like Mike Tyson boxing a 90-year-old man in a nursing home. The result is not unexpected.
Honestly, the question isn’t why DeSantis won by 20 points. Rather, why didn’t he win by 40 points?
end.

Wilson also mentioned why they are still going after DeSantis, but what the man says is not very trustworthy.
Trump is expected to announce he will run next week. Many of the candidates he endorsed failed to win their races, and perhaps the most prominent to do so, Senator-elect J.D. Vance of Ohio, did so. don’t mention him in his victory speech.
Moreover, speaking of the Lincoln Project and Vance’s Ohio Senate race, his opponent, Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH), had support from the disgraced group. Rep. Ryan’s communications director, Isabella Levy, also took notice and pleaded with them not to get involved.
