“The proposed assembly of the Congress District Plan must include (1) a complete nationwide plan and (2) visual representations of the proposed borders of congress districts,” says the page. “Any application that does not take into account both requirements will not be published on the website or considered.”
Congressed redistribution plans will be introduced in the legislation, where they will receive an account number, like any other legal act, and then be subject to questioning before the committee in both chambers. After approving the committee, both chambers will vote on the center.
In order for the map to last 10 years, it must receive 66% of consent in each chamber, including approval of at least half of the Democrats and half of the Republicans in the Senate and the Chamber, in accordance with OHIO Constitution.
If the contract cannot be reached to be established by September 30, the trial goes to the Ohio Redistriction Committee, which would have to develop a two -sided plan by the end of October.
Without agreement, the trial returns to the legislator, in which the plan can be adopted with a plain majority. The Constitution gives the deadline on November 30 to the second attempt of the legislator.
However, with a plain acceptance of most, the Constitution requires that the plan be valid for only four years.
The redistribution process returned to Ohio after previous attempts to draw congress maps did not cause bilateral maps. Both congress maps that were adopted in Ohio were recognized as unconstitutional partisans by the Supreme Court in Ohio.
Despite the unconstitutional, the recently approved congress map was used in the last universal elections.
