“They fight at school, they are not able to see the board or cannot read well, and you find out that maybe they only need a pair of glasses, which in the great scheme of things is a relatively inexpensive solution to the problem that could be incorrectly recognized as a disability of learning,” he said.
Foster said that the Isee program provides free glasses for students who need them, which usually ends about 85% of students. He said he had conducted about 6,000 exams and rewrote almost 2,800 glasses.
“As far as we know, it was the first of its kind in Ohio then,” he said.

“If programs such as Isee and other similar programs did not exist, these children would never be examined,” said Foster. “They would never be treated.”
