The survivors of Dr. Richard Strauss will tell the Republican Republican US representative Jim Jordan knew about the sexual abuse that students of the sportsmen suffer, according to the new HBO document “Surviving Ohio State”.
Jordan refused to interview the document, but his name is often brought up by former wrestlers of the state of Ohio and the judge. The document was published last month. For years, Jordan has repeatedly denied any knowledge of abuse.
“Saying that (Jordan) he knew nothing that nothing had ever happened, it was completely a lie,” said former wrestler from Ohio, Dan Ritchie in the document.
Strauss sexually abused at least 177 male victims According to an independent investigation in Ohio State University in 1979–1996 during work as a doctor in the athletics department Ohio State and at the Student University.
Strauss retired with Ohio State University in 1998 and died through suicide in 2005, when he was 67 years aged. Jordan was an assistant to the Ohio state assistant in 1987–1995.
“Chairman Jordan has never seen or heard about any abuse, and if he had, he would deal with it,” he said Russell Dye, spokesman For Jordan.
At some point in the document, Ritchie said Jordan said: “If (Strauss ever) had done it to me, I would catch his neck like a stick of dry wood balsa. “
In the document, the wrestling referee Fred Feeney shared his experience with sexually assault on the shower after the wrestling match.
He said that he told the then wrestling trainer Ohio, Russon Russon and Jordan that Strauss masturbated next to Feeney in the shower.

“Jim Jordan looked at me straight in the face and said:” It’s Strauss. You know what he was doing, “said Feeney in the document.
Jordan turned to politics after coaching – Serving in Ohio the Chamber of Representatives in 1995–2000 and the Senate of the State of Ohio in the years 2001–2006, before he was elected to the House of Representatives of the US, where it represents the 4th Congress District Ohio. He is ready for re -election next year.
Former wrestler from Ohio Mike The abbreviation said he thought Jordan would aid Strauss surviving.
“Jim Jordan to Pit Bull” The abbreviation said in the document. “And so I thought, why the hell would this guy not accelerate for us?”
The documentation shows Jordan’s television clips, which strongly denies that he knew about abuse.
“I fought to the FBI,” said Jordan as he pressed through the NBC4 Colleen Marshall reporter in the document clip. “I fought to IRS. So if I thought that something was wrong if I knew something was going on to stand after them.”
“There was no truth that I knew about all abuses,” said Jordan in July 2018 during a press group with central ohio reporters. “I talked to other trainers, they did not know about any abuse. It is simply not the exact saying of those things we know about and we did not report. It’s just not true.”
Ohio State University settled with 296 survivors who will allow the university for over $ 60 million.
“We express deep regret and apology to all who have experienced Strauss’s abuse,” said spokesman for the State University of Ohio, Chris Booker We -mail. “… all male students who filed lawsuits were proposed to settle.”
Ohio Governor Mike Dewine said he didn’t see “Ohio survived“But he recently referred to the working group, which he founded in 2019 in response to Strauss’s abuse, which in the last 25 years required a review of cases of improper sexual behavior.
“I am sure that at this point we have done everything we could do, and we are waiting for the future in relation to making sure that the medical commission will react when reports appear that appear in the right way and have specialist knowledge in this board and appropriate people,” said Dewin on Monday, when the document was asked.
Dewine signed Ohio Senate Bill 109 Last year, which allows the Medical of Ohio Council to be liable for licenses when they are involved in improper sexual behavior or commit sexual offenses.
