The Nebraska Senate race is heating up as Election Day approaches

Republican Sen. Deb Fischer has a slim lead in the Nebraska Senate race over independent opponent Dan Osborn with just eight days until the election, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll released Monday.

Fischer leads by two percentage points with 48% to Osborn’s 46%. According to to the survey. The poll found that of likely voters polled in Nebraska, 5% either refused to answer or said they were an undecided voter.

According to the poll, former President Donald Trump leads in Nebraska by 15 percentage points, or 55%, while Vice President Kamala Harris lags behind at 40%. According to poll results, Harris leads among independent voters in the state by 10 percentage points.

“This race is neck and neck, but make no mistake, the momentum is on our side,” Osborn (pictured above, right) said in a statement shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Deb Fischer has spent 12 years doing the bidding of her corporate donors, leaving hard-working Nebraskans behind, and in 8 days, Nebraskans will unite to fire her and her selfish agenda once and for all.”

Democrats led the push flip Senate seats in various red states, including Nebraska, Texas and Florida. A few far leftists gloomy money groups helped finance Osborn’s Senate campaign.

Nebraska Supreme Court ruled on October 16 to accept voter registration applications from certain former felons for the 2024 presidential election. Nebraska Republican Senator Mike McDonnell announced on September 23 that opposed changing how a state allocates electoral college votes.

Nebraska’s Senate candidates aren’t the only race where the candidates are neck and neck, with national polling averages for Harris and Trump remaining tight as the presidential race enters its final phase. Trump leads the country by 0.1 points (48.5%), while Harris lags slightly behind with 48.4%. According to to polling averages with RealClear Polling.

Fischer’s office did not immediately respond to DCNF’s request for comment.
