According to multiple media outlets, members of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s family are expected to endorse President Joe Biden’s 2024 campaign on Thursday, rather than endorsing an independent candidate.
These endorsements follow the Biden campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) acceleration efforts to combat what they believe to be danger Kennedy and other third-party candidates who could take part in the president’s re-election bid. The Kennedy siblings – Kerry, Rory, Joseph, Kathleen, Christopher and Maxwell – along with nine other family members will support Biden at a campaign event in Philadelphia, many Sockets reported.
“We can say today with no less urgency that our rights and freedoms are once again under threat,” Kerry Kennedy will say, according to the media. “Therefore we must all unite in a campaign that should unite not only Democrats but all Americans, including Republicans, and independents, who believe in what Lincoln called the better angels of our nature.”
Former Democratic Massachusetts lawmaker Joe Kennedy III, who currently serves as the Biden administration’s special envoy to Northern Ireland, will reportedly introduce the president. Reports indicate that following these remarks, family members will be knocking on doors and making phone calls to assist Biden’s campaign.
The independent candidate reacted to this post in post in X where he said, “we are divided in our opinions, but united in our love for each other.”
“I see it as an opportunity for America as well. Can we disagree without hating our opponents? Can we restore civility and respect to public discourse? I think we can,” Kennedy wrote. “My campaign, which many members of my family are working on and supporting, is about healing America – healing our economy, our chronic disease crisis, our middle class, our environment and our standing in the world as a peaceful nation.”
“But this will only happen when we heal our national conversation and move from rage and fear to love and respect,” Kennedy added.
Democrats fear that Kennedy’s independent candidacy will deprive Biden of more votes than former President Donald Trump reflected in some recent poll.
According to the media, Kerry Kennedy is to warn against the threats that she believes another Trump presidency will bring.

Kennedy, who proudly served as Attorney General of the United States and upheld his commitment to uphold the law and protect the country.” – Kerry Kennedy – say media . “President Biden championed all the rights and freedoms that my father and uncles stood for.”
Family members of the independent candidate were initially critical of his candidacy for the office of president ran against Biden as a Democrat in April 2023, as well as when he left party in October 2023. Many members of the Kennedy family were present in the photo with Biden in March, and Kerry Kennedy posted on social media that the president was “doing[s] a better world.”
The Biden campaign did not immediately respond to requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
