It finally dawned on the administration that President Biden looked terrible when asked about the death toll from the Hawaii wildfires, to which he only replied, “no comment.” Almost two weeks after this freak, The White House offered an excuse: The president says he has never actually heard this question. Uh-huh, suuurrrrrrrre, he didn’t do it.
More pathetic than this dismissive explanation is the number of media players who undoubtedly agree with this penniless administrative job. Showing complete disregard for his reputation as an essential voice in the media, Jonathan Chait stands up and, without a hint of shame, makes a declaration of defense on behalf of the administration.
Absolutely not what WH says. Their position is that Biden heard something being shouted at him but couldn’t understand the question and said “no comment.” https://t.co/syELRP23Fn

Race to the Bottom – MSNBC
- A situation in which a Republican does exactly what he is accused of becomes an uncomfortable narrative!
Many media outlets have presented a rather disgusting portrayal of the shooting in Jacksonville this weekend; the willingness to step in and blame the murders on Ron DeSantis and his school policies was as demeaning as possible. To see how much of the fix is that the governor is at fault no matter what, it’s worth noting how CNN blamed DeSantis within hours of his botched trip to the city while defending Biden for going on vacation and taking two weeks to prepare This is a deadly disaster in Hawaii.
Then, after the alleged burning NO DeSantis faced criticism upon arriving in Jacksonville, and the pathetic double standard surrounding his comments has only become more acute. DeSantis was attacked for not condemning the shooter and the racism surrounding him, but after it was shown that he did had was blatantly critical of a man who murdered three people, his comments were deemed inappropriate.
Andrea Mitchell welcomed Trymaine Lee to discuss DeSantis’ remarks, and in reference to the governor calling the killer a “scabbard,” Mr. Lee concluded that was not an appropriate condemnation. Seriously. After being accused of failing to condemn the killer, he is now said to have failed to adequately condemn him.
You know, for a lot of people, the problem with this language is that it puts the onus on one person and one person’s actions, as opposed to the nationwide disease of white supremacy in the country and the violence that it fuels. As long as he’s scum or has mental health issues, you don’t have to think that there are co-conspirators, co-conspirators creating divisive legislation, and other people on the Internet.
The only conclusion that can be drawn from this is that no matter what he says and does, these numbers must have the right narrative to call DeSantis a racist and blame him for these murders.
Now they are irate at DeSantis for calling out a racist who killed black people #Jacksonville “drawer”.

Gilded frame – EVERYDAY BEAST
On her Libs Of TikTok account, Chaya Raichik detailed how the California school served a social function and intentionally excluded white students from attending.
A California elementary school reportedly held a race-segregated “social date” that included all students except white children.
Parent criticized school on social media: ‘we will look back and cringe so much that we tried to defeat racism by separating children of color from white children’ pic.twitter.com/LhBMCtwSEq

Faced with potential news of blatant discrimination taking place in a public school, The Daily Beast did the only right thing – it blamed Raichik for the negative reaction.
It turns out that the school received a voicemail in which the caller reported a bomb threat, which became a certain convenience for the school. Now he didn’t have to provide details of the uncomfortable news, and instead could make allegations that Libs Of TikTok was responsible for inciting violence… somehow.
The bomb threat, emailed to Chabot Main Elementary School in Oakland, came a day after notorious right-wing Twitter user Libs Of TikTok tweeted that the school was hosting a fun event for children of color. https://t.co/uzDQltEtY7

PR company DNC – POLITICO
- If the Biden campaign ever ends up falling in the polls, they will be able to turn to Heidi Przybyla for assist.
The sorrowful news has spread that unintentional national figure Joe the Plumber has recently passed away after a battle with cancer. CNN’s Dana Bash hosted a panel discussion during which she discussed news and details about the Ohio native and his impromptu interlude with then-candidate Barack Obama that launched him into the national consciousness, and the discussion turned to the current conditions of Joe Biden’s nascent campaign. Guest and political analyst Nia Malika-Henderson made an obtuse comment that Biden was challenged to fight the “white identity politics” that Joe The Plumber represented. Try to focus on this; White identity politics is a factor… for Joe Biden.
Then they turned to Politico expert Heidi Przybyła, who advised on how to assist Biden in the upcoming presidential campaign.
What needs to happen now from Biden’s perspective is that he needs “Joe the Plumber” because Joe talked to Barack Obama about taxes there. But what has happened since then is that when Trump took office, one of his first policies was to cut taxes in a way that primarily benefited corporate stock buybacks.
While Joe Biden pursued a policy of cascading proposals such as infrastructure. And yet somehow the Democratic Party is really struggling with that part of society that really believes that they are disadvantaged and that the economic policies of the Democratic Party have harmed them even more, when in fact they have a huge achievement, for example with infrastructure.
Here at RFTH, we tried to remember the last time we saw a CNN or Politico journalist dig deep to find positive solutions for a GOP candidate who needed specific assist with his campaign or public policy image. For the record, we left with empty seats.
In a CNN segment on the death of plumber Joe Nia-Malik, Henderson says it “was kind of the emergence” of “a kind of grievance politics, white identity politics.” Heidi Przybyla laments that Democrats are struggling despite “this huge achievement” in the infrastructure bill pic.twitter.com/S6lT6ruczR

Report in the mirror – CNN
After the forced departure of CEO Chris Licht in June, CNN was run by committee until a modern chief was found to take over the bankrupt network. After a search, it was announced that they had a name as Mark Thompson was set to take the reins of CNN International.
Thompson’s bio shows that he joined after serving as executive director at The New York Times and previously at the BBC. Discovery-Warner CEO David Zaslav said this about his modern hire:
There is no more experienced, respected and capable executive in the news industry today than Mark, and we are thrilled to have him join our team and lead CNN Worldwide into the future. Mark is a true innovator who has transformed two of the world’s most respected news organizations for the digital age. His strategic vision, experience in transformational leadership and pure passion for news make him a formidable force for CNN and journalism at this pivotal time.
Mark Thompson better not have any comical ideas and try to move CNN back to the center. Because if that happens, let another rebellion begin! https://t.co/6VXfj8OBCo

Fact checker body – SNOPES
At least this time they thought it was a joke. Snopes, avoiding any solemn investigation into what Joe Biden or the Democrats might say, spotted a topic on social media that it simply had to address.
Breathe Easy gang, the claim that Bud Light suffered a multi-billion dollar loss after hiring Whoopie Goldberg as its modern brand ambassador is not at all right.
How ridiculous is this “breaking news”? Let’s count the ways. https://t.co/P3i15hLZXG
