‘Send Her a MAGA Hat’: Trump Says Kamala Harris Has Embraced His Philosophy Because ‘There’s No Politics’

by Nicole Silverio

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump accused Vice President Kamala Harris of copying his philosophy after she failed to bring any policy proposals to Tuesday’s debate.

Trump said during the ABC News debate that Harris is a “Marxist” who will govern far to the left despite campaigning for the political center and even embracing some of the same policies he espouses. He warned that the vice president would destroy the United States if elected president.

“She has no politics. Everything she believed in three and four years ago is gone. Now she’s going to my philosophy, I was actually going to send her a MAGA hat,” Trump said. “She went to my philosophy, but if she ever got elected, she would change it. It would be the end of our country. She’s a Marxist. Everybody knows she’s a Marxist. Her father is a Marxist economics professor and he taught her well.”

Trump has criticized the Biden-Harris administration for its handling of the crisis at the southern border, which he says has also devastated the economy.

“They are criminals. Many of these people are criminals, and that is bad for our economy as well … Well, bad immigration is the worst thing that can happen to our economy. They, and she destroyed, destroyed our country with policies that are crazy. Almost policies that say ‘they have to hate our country,'” the former president said.

Asset accused The vice president reiterated his policy proposal to eliminate the tip tax on service workers at an Aug. 11 rally. The former president proposed the policy at a June 9 rally, while Harris introduced the idea at an Aug. 10 rally.

“How long before Kamala Harris comes out with another ‘TRUMP’ policy like ‘Our Social Security retirees will pay no taxes?’” Trump wrote in Truth Social fasting August 10. “It looks really bad now! Everyone is waiting to see what idea or policy of mine he will copy next.”

Harris overturned her stance against building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, expressing support for it in overdue August. During the 2020 presidential election, the current vice president called Trump’s border wall idea “un-American” and a “stupid waste of money.”

Harris exposed policy page on her campaign website Monday, the day before the debate and more than a month into the campaign. Her policy proposals did not reflect changes in positions since she was a U.S. senator and presidential candidate in 2020.
