The Republican National Committee on Thursday chose Ronna Romney McDaniel to act as its chairwoman, and Bob Paduchik to perform the function of co -chairmen.
McDaniel was unanimously elected, which makes her a second woman in the history of the committee to serve as chairman.
In the remarks, the outgoing chairman Reine Priebus said that RNC is now “in the best possible hands” with modern management.
“Ronna and Bob have been loyal republicans for years and have been distinguished by incredible effort in this cycle. They led out to make sure that President Elek Donald Trump won his states of battlefields, “he said.
“As chairwoman Michigan Gop, Ronna led the demolition team, which took off this non -existent democratic blue wall. As Trump’s president said last month, she barely slept this cycle because it was so focused on winning.
“This is this level of passion, along with her involvement in building land, data and digital operations, which RNC has been working on for years, gives me complete confidence that she is the right woman to direct RNC,” Priebus noted.
As for Paduchik, who led the efforts of Trump’s campaign in Ohio, Priebus said he was “an outstanding co -chairman.”
McDaniel thanked RNC for her trust.
“I am a mother from Michigan. I am an outsider. And I’m here to succeed Donald Trump and Republicans, “she said.
“For too long, the Democrats hailed the women’s party. As Republicans, we know that their so-called monopoly on being a party of women is false and this is a way of thinking that I intend to change, “she added.
McDaniel noticed that Trump’s movement gave the voice to those who were ignored much for too long and the power of change of Washington.
“As a chairwoman, he will be my priority to strengthen those voices that spoke loudly and clear in November last year.”
