This week, the republican legislator introduced an invoice that would require Ohio public schools to show video about fetal development to students starting in the third grade.

Presented representative of the state Melanie Miller, R – Ashland Ohio House Bill 485Also known as “Emproct Baby Olivia Act”. Three minutes Meet the video baby olivia It was produced by a living action, which is in favor of abortion, and shows fertilization and fetal growth.

“This legislation does not apply to abortion,” said Miller, who also serves as Executive director of the ASHLAND Care Center. “It copes with learning human development. … We hope that we can change culture to celebrate life instead of destroying life.”

Planned parenting calls the video “Baby Olivia” “inaccurate, misleading and manipulative. ”

“Students should learn to learn about human reproduction, but these lessons should also include medically accurate and comprehensive information, which has been proven that teens delay the start of sexual activity to a later life and give them tools to prevent unintentional pregnancy and plan how to start a family when they are ready for it,” said Kellie Copland, Kellie Copeland.

“This propaganda film full of disinformation is transmitted.”

Abortion is legal in Ohio up to 22 weeks of pregnancy. Voters from Ohio adopted voting in 2023. The protection of abortion care and reproductive rights to the state constitution has been added.

“I fully expect that those who are in contradiction to this bill will try to delegitimize it, and, among other things, call it propaganda,” said Kate Macra Macró Macro Kate Macra. “Dehumanization of an unborn child must fail.”

The minimum that the bill requires is showing the movie Baby Olivia or an ultrasonic movie at least three minutes. Miller said that the school district could do something extensive.

“The film would contain detailed animations of ultrasonic images showing the early stages of human development in the uterus, including the formation of critical organs such as the brain, heart and limbs,” said Miller.

“This visual resource is designed to be scientifically accurate, engaging and suitable for class settings, increasing deeper recognition for the complexity of human life.”

The bill would require showing video students every year, starting from the third class to the twelfth grade, starting from the school year 2026-27.

“With age, your questions can evolve and your understanding can evolve,” said Miller. “So why don’t (show video every year)? What is it a shame? Three minutes is not too long in the health class.”

Miller said that the film would be authorized at every school course covering human development, development or sexuality.

“The miracle of life is not something that can be easily explained,” she said. “Why, then, will we not scientifically present a thorough presentation of the human development process, so that our students have a fuller, fuller understanding?”

Similar bills were introduced in over 20 other states of this session, and Idaho, Kansas, North Dakota, Tennessee, Iowa and Indiana have put similar bills right.

The OHIO Education and Working Form Department would conduct annual audits to check the school district, meets the requirements of the video display account.

The notification will be given to parents in advance, before the video is shown in the classroom so that they have the opportunity to develop their student to watch the video.

Ohio does not have a comprehensive set of health education standards, but He emphasizes sex education only in abstinence.

“Abstinence is very important that we educate in our schools,” said Miller.
