On Tuesday at noon, the House will vote on the election of the Speaker of the House. House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) won the Republican nomination last Friday and currently has about 140 GOP members willing to publicly support him, or at least express a willingness to do so. No Democrats are expected to vote for him, but Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) took it a step further on Monday night when it came to a post she made from her political X account.
To quote former Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) delivered at 2017 POLITICO interviewbefore she herself was in the House, Omar wrote that “Jordan has been a terrorist as a legislator, dating back to his days in the Ohio House and Senate. Terrorist. Legislative terrorist.”
The team member also added his own comment. “It should be fascinating to see how things play out after Republicans choose Speaker Jordan tomorrow. This would certainly cause more chaos in the chamber and electoral damage,” she said.
In less than two hours, there were over 1,500 replies to the post questioning Omar’s comments, and counting. When someone in the response disagreed with the comments, the congresswoman defended herself by claiming that “those were not my words,” even though she added her own comment. This defense alone received over 100 responses.

Democrats as a party had bizarre and hypocritical narratives about removing Kevin McCarthy as speaker and electing a recent one. Despite House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (R-N.Y.) frequently condemning so-called “MAGA extremists” and their “extremism,” earlier this month every Democrat voted with eight Republicans to oust McCarthy at his behest. from the speaker’s position.

After claiming that Jordan was “also linked to the Ohio State sexual abuse scandal,” Hostin was forced to read an on-air legal notice recalling that “Rep. Jim Jordan has denied knowing about the sexual abuse of wrestlers during his years at Ohio State University “
Even more notable is that a sitting congresswoman used the term after terrorists killed 1,400 Israelis and at least 30 Americans. Omar has also come under fire for her selective narratives about the war between Israel and Hamas, especially as she calls for de-escalation and a ceasefire after she signed onto a resolution demanding such a demand on Monday.
Invoking this term, even if it was used by a former speaker in a different context, days after the horror of what Hamas did to Israel, is completely ailing, reduces the severity of this term and reinforces your anti-Semitism.
