  • Ban on menstrual products from men’s toilets of public buildings.
  • The manovs that state agencies can only fly with the official flag of Ohio in the area or buildings, effectively prohibiting the display of pride flags.

Equality of ohio he condemned the funds.

“Ohioans deserve a budget, which invests in education, healthcare and community – not one that is directed to already sensitive population,” said Dwayne Steward, executive director of Equality Ohio. “This budget turns transphobia and homophobia into politics and uses public money to enforce it. Let’s be clear – LGBTQ+ Ohioans will not be removed.”

The house originally donated the budget in April. When the Senate adopted the budget on June 11, they introduced changes to the document, which meant that the trial of the Commission, both the Chamber and the Senate, agreed to the budget, which could be sent to the governor Mike Dewin for his signature by the end of June. Both the Chamber and the Senate voted for it on Wednesday.

Dewine has the freedom to veto individual lines in the budget; Two years ago he vetoed over 40 items in the budget. Proponents of LGBTQ+ hope that the governor will do it in the case of six measures of anti-LGBTQ+.

“These funds do nothing to improve life for Ohioans,” said Steward in a press release. “At a time when our resources are desperately needed elsewhere, they redirect public funds to enforce discrimination instead of investing in education, healthcare and other real needs of the community.”

No democrat voted for the budget or in the Chamber or Senate.

“Instead of supporting working families and creating Ohio, which is really the heart of all this, the Republican majority created a budget filled with broken promises,” said Nicke Antonio (D-shelawood) Senate leader Nicke Antonio (D-shelawood). “Broken promises for low income and hard -working Ohioanie: farmers, shop officials, librarians, teachers, bus drivers, first respondents, driving drivers and many more.” Ding
