Bernie Moreno, the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Ohio, condemned the Biden administration’s executive order allowing illegal alien spouses and children to apply for legal indefinite residence without having to leave the country.
To be eligible under Biden’s Tuesday executive order“non-US citizens” must have resided in the United States for at least 10 years and be legally married to a US citizen while meeting all applicable legal requirements as of June 17, 2024.
The White House estimates that Biden’s executive order will cover approximately 500,000 spouses of U.S. citizens and approximately 50,000 non-U.S. citizen children under 21 whose parent is married to a U.S. citizen.
Unlike open borders advocate Sherrod Brown, I believe we should deport illegal immigrants, not grant them mass amnesty. pic.twitter.com/2zKcNW1pw1

Moreno reacted per the president’s executive order, condemning his opponent, incumbent U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), for not opposing the so-called “mass amnesty” plan.
“Millions of illegal immigrants enter our country every year thanks to Joe Biden and Sherrod Brown’s open border policies. We should deport illegal immigrants, not grant them mass amnesty,” Moreno said.
“If Sherrod Brown cared about defending America and protecting the jobs and wages of our citizens, he would have opposed Biden to stop this invasion, but over his decades in office, he has repeatedly supported amnesty for undocumented people,” Moreno added. “Sherrod does not represent Ohioans in the Senate, he represents illegal criminals and large corporations who want their cheap labor.”
Former President Donald Trump, who endorsed Moreno in the U.S. Senate race in Ohio, did as well condemned Biden’s executive order on Tuesday.
“Biden’s mass amnesty plan will undoubtedly lead to greater increases in immigrant crime, cost taxpayers millions of dollars they cannot afford, overwhelm public services, and steal Social Security and Medicare benefits from American seniors to fund benefits for undocumented immigrants – depleting subsidized programs. by Americans throughout their working lives. “Biden has created another invitation to illegal immigration by ordering a mass amnesty,” Trump said.
