Republican Ohio Senate candidate Bernie Moreno was hit with an embarrassing attack ad intended to derail his campaign. It does reek of desperation, but the final days of the primary have turned into a circus, with Moreno, Ohio State Sen. Matt Dolan and Secretary of State Frank LaRose trading blows ahead of the March 19 primary. The drama caught the attention of Senate Democrats, who ran ads supporting Moreno.
In some states, ensuring the victory of a pro-Trump candidate and making life easier for Democrats, the general election could be purple. This is not Ohio, which is Trump country. Super PAC supporting Dolan released ads are attacking Moreno’s alleged activity on the site, but they may have to retract them since this story went down in less than a day. Even Adult Friend Finder founder Andrew Conru said it was probably a joke.
“I looked through all available information and found that the account only had one visit, no activity, no profile picture, which could be a joke or just a site check. That’s all,” he said.
As the founder and person who wrote much of the early code for the Adult Friend Finder search engine, I want to make a brief statement about 2008 Ohio Senatorial candidate Bernie Moreno’s alleged connection to this site.

If Moreno wins, he will face incumbent Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown, who is running for re-election in a very different state than the one that first elected him to the Senate in 2006.
