Former President Trump didn’t hold back in criticizing Republican lawmakers who joined Democrats last week to lend a hand pass the infrastructure bill, saying they should be “ashamed of themselves.”
During his speech at Monday’s dinner before the National Republican Congressional Committee, Trump called out the 13 House Republicans who supported the $1.2 trillion package, which passed 228-206 on Friday.
“I love all the Republicans in the House of Representatives. Actually, I don’t love you all. “I don’t like the 13 who voted for Biden’s infrastructure plan,” Trump reportedly said, according to The Washington Post.
Representatives Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, Don Bacon of Nebraska, Don Young of Alaska, John Katko of New York, Tom Reed of New York, Andrew Garbarino of New York, Nicole Malliotakis of New York, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, Chris Smith of New York Jersey, Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey, Fred Upton of Michigan, Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio and David McKinley of West Virginia supported the bill, which would not have passed without their votes.
At least one of those Republicans – Rep. Nicole Malliotakis was in the audience during Trump’s speeches.
According to a New York Post reporter, the New York Republican was “visibly shaken.”
According to a source at last night’s NRCC dinner with Trump: “He yelled at the 13 rupees who voted for infrastructure with Nicole Malliotakis. She was visibly shaken by this.” The source added that it was a long speech and Trump was friends with McCarthy.

Malliotakis argued that the infrastructure bill is “extremely good” for the district she represents.

The 13 GOP House members who supported the package were also criticized by their colleagues.
RINOS just passed this wasteful $1.2 trillion “infrastructure” bill.
Pelosi did not have the votes in her party to pass this nonsense.
It’s time to name names and hold these imitation Republicans accountable.
