Sitting members of Congress continue to comment on the Ohio Senate race, if not one of the frontrunners the a race to watch with the opportunity it offers Republicans this year. Earlier this week, Republican Mike Turner, an Ohio native and chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, endorsed Secretary of State Frank LaRose in the race. Turner’s district is located in the Dayton area and covers southwestern Ohio.
“Frank honorably served our country in Iraq and is the type of leader we need in Washington to strengthen America’s national security,” Congress said. Microphone Turner in a statement. ““Frank has a proven track record of fighting on behalf of families, workers and small businesses in the Ohio Senate and as our Secretary of State, which is why I am proud to endorse Frank LaRose for the United States Senate.”
LaRose served as a military green beret.
“Congressman Turner is a strong advocate for southwest Ohio and a fierce defender of conservative values in Congress,” LaRose said in a statement. “I look forward to working with him in the United States Senate to secure our borders, restore peace by force, and repair the broken Biden/Brown economy that is harming Ohio families,” referring not only to President Joe Biden but also to the vulnerable incumbent Democratic senator Sherrod Brown.

The confirmation comes after A1S4 Protection PAC, a gun rights group, also endorsed LaRose on Wednesday, joining not only Turner but also the Buckeye Firearms Association and other Second Amendment groups.
In support, Chairman Jim Irvine issued a lengthy and enthusiastic statement:
“Honest LaRose he is a battle-hardened defender of freedom. From Eagle Scout to Green Beret to Ohio Senator to Ohio Secretary of State, Frank runs toward the fight.
“As someone who has advocated for self-defense and the Second Amendment for over twenty years, I have worked with many candidates and office holders. Franc LaRose has always been a staunch supporter of your constitutional rights, even under severe attack. Not only does he vote the right way, but behind the scenes he invests in the people around him to make them better and stronger.
“We need a U.S. senator who will stand up to the anti-gun and anti-freedom industry. We need someone who understands the issues and will fight to defend and restore our Second Amendment rights. We need Frank LaRose for a US senator. Join me and vote for him on March 19.”
“Ohio’s gun owners and Second Amendment leaders know that I am the only pro-gun candidate in this race, and I am proud to have earned their support,” he said LaRose. Words will not be affected are clear and as a battle-tested candidate for the Senate, I will always defend our freedoms,” he also emphasized.

Forecasts they currently consider this breed to be Toss-Up, and recent polls suggest this could certainly be a close race. Brown leads state Sen. Matt Dolan 39 to 38 percent, Secretary of State Frank LaRose 39 to 37 percent and businessman Bernie Moreno 39 to 37 percent, according to an Emerson College poll released last week.
Last week, in a press release, LaRose promoting the campaign also boasted about its fourth-quarter fundraising results.
