Putting aside any issues with the race between Warnock and his opponent Kelly Loeffler for space reasons, Perdue should not have lost his seat. If he had not, Republicans would have narrow control of the U.S. Senate today.
The Purdue team didn’t dispute the November results, and national officials advised him to take the high road and simply make up ground in the January runoff. That proved to be a fatal mistake during the extraordinary political turmoil of the past two months.
Because now we know there was a basis for the dispute. Let’s put aside the conspiracy theories from the horror movies. The old-fashioned irregularities in the lifeless details. Like the signature verification on the original registration file that should have been the cause of the rejection of thousands of additional votes, a group that was heavily Democratic. The rejection of votes from voters who moved out of state or to another home in Georgia but never re-registered or failed to provide PO boxes, government or business addresses as their addresses. Again, thousands of votes.
The list of categories of illegal votes is long. Together, they far exceeded the margin needed to change the outcome of the Senate race.
If the election integrity measures recently passed in Georgia’s SB 202 had been enacted in November, Perdue would have passed 50 percent and the election would have been over. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) would not control the Senate chamber, and Republicans would chair every Senate committee with supermajorities on every committee. America’s future would not depend on every word spoken by Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ).
Imagine how different this year would have been. President Biden’s left-wing $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan bill would never have passed because a majority in one chamber of Congress would have known it had nothing to do with COVID-recovery stimulus and everything to do with the Democratic strategy. Only 9 percent of that bill was economic stimulus. The $1.2 trillion infrastructure disaster would not have passed either because Republicans would have waited until 2022 to take over the House and write a conservative infrastructure package.
But that’s just a taste of what’s to come if we don’t get election integrity right. Without it, Democrats could keep control of the House and pick up a few seats in 2022. That would result in two years of real socialist control of Congress, sending legislation to Biden to fundamentally reshape the United States.
So much now depends on the $3.5 trillion reconciliation package that is being written on Capitol Hill. Manchin has sounded the alarm, and I hope that the man I have known for years will stand by his principles and say that this ultra-left socialist monstrosity, with amnesty for 11 million illegal immigrants, massive taxes, appalling levels of spending, a Green New Deal with a corps of 300,000 climate activists added to the federal workforce, and 87,000 up-to-date IRS agents to go after petite businesses and ordinary Americans, will not pass.
I also think that the rapidly rising inflation that I warned about a few days ago and which, as the CPI and PPI reports published in July show, is actually happening, will facilitate Joe and Sinema gain additional determination not to give in to the radical left.
But without election integrity, Schumer won’t need their votes to get anything through the Senate. He can push through the $3.5 trillion, then do a federal takeover of the elections with HR 1, granting full citizenship to all 11 to 25 million illegal immigrants in the country, and packing the Supreme Court with more seats to be filled by radical leftists to seal this assault on the Constitution.
America as we know it would end.
Americans are center-right people. They will not vote to destroy the greatest source of national blessing the world has ever seen. But those votes will only translate into correct election results if we have electoral integrity.
That is why I have agreed to become the Chair of the up-to-date Center for Election Integrity at the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) in addition to my other affiliations. I am grateful to work with great patriots and allied groups to facilitate solve this existential threat to our freedom.
Patriotic Americans must be willing to engage in this fight, regardless of the lies of the left. For example, they say that requiring voters to show ID is racist voter suppression, even though over 60 percent of black voters support it.
We cannot give in to scare tactics and cancel culture. As someone who fought for decades for civil rights, I assure you that when you back down, they never back down. Instead, they become more aggressive.
Now is the time to fight back. The socialist dream of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer is not the American dream. The American people stand with us on the significant issues, and as the Democrats make clear their socialist plans for this country, we can defeat them at the polls, but only if every legal vote is counted and every illegal vote is rejected.
Election integrity makes it easier to vote, but harder to cheat. Now let’s get to work.
