2020 Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang joined ABC News “This week” on Sunday. First question
“I want to start with the slogan of the campaign. This “is not left, not right, but forward.” What does it mean? ” – asked Jon Karl.
“Well, Jon, for me it is clear, for which Donald Trump is our president today, is that we automated 4 million production places, which were mainly in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Missouri and Iowa, and swings, which he must win,” explained Yang. “And what we have done with the works that we now intend to do with retail, telephone work, fast food work, and ultimately work for trucks.”
According to the entrepreneur, the way America copes with technological progress should be something that works for all Americans regardless of political affiliation. “
“These problems are technological and concern us all,” he said.
Karl then asked Yang if he thought the democrats were too ideological, too far left, and the Republicans were too far on the right.
“I was the ambassador of Obama’s administration, but for me the Democrats still did not ask hard questions, as Donald Trump won in 2016,” he said directly. “If you look around the country, you will see 30 percent of closing shops and shopping centers, you see a record level of stress, financial uncertainty, student loan debt, even suicides and drugs of drugs.”
“Unfortunately, the Democratic Party behaves as if Donald Trump is the cause of all our problems,” explained Yang. “It is a symptom and we must cure an emphasizing disease.”
