Democrats remain complicated after losing in 2024 with Donald J. Trump and Republicans. We all knew that Pennsylvania would be a ball – Trump won. Let’s think about something: Pennsylvania has never been on the GOP target list, but we have won it twice in the last eight years. We also gained Michigan and Wisconsin again, two other states are never ready for Republicans.
This is the beauty of having a candidate, Trump, who transformed the party into a multi -class workers’ event. Democrats vowed to regain the Lost Earth in the Keystone state, but there are signs that Pennsylvania can become another “ohio” situation. On the other hand, there are also arguments that Keystone’s condition remains a solid swing (via Associated Press):
Drubing Democrats took part in Pennsylvania in this year’s elections, prompted the predictable oaths to reflect, but also inferior to doubts whether the pension could leave the ranks of swings raised for hornbeams for right existence more similar to Ohio.

Bethany Hallam, a member of the Alleghena Council, who is part of the wave of progressive Democrats to win the office in Pittsburgh in recent years, said that the party could fix the situation before the Pennsylvania became Ohio. But he warned against the interpretation of 2024 as a one -time Blip, saying that it would be a mistake to think that Trump’s voters would never be heard again.
“They will be more authorized to vote more,” said Hallam. “They left, finally formulated their voices and the person they chose won. … I don’t think it was a one -time matter. ”

Daniel Hopkins, a professor of political sciences at the University of Pennsylvania, said that it is hard to predict that Pennsylvania is popular in a specific direction, because politics evolve, and the parties that lose are usually adapted.
Hopkins said that even when the Democrats had greater registration advantages, the Republicans competed in the nationwide pitch.
Hopkins said that Democrats should worry, that they lost newborn voters and Latin voters at Trump, although the swing towards GOP was relatively muted in Pennsylvania. He noticed that Trump’s victory worth 1.8 percent Trump was not a landlife, and signaling that Pennsylvania would be competitive.
We will see what will happen in the next few cycles. I do not bet that Pennsylvania will become like Ohio, an ancient swing state, which is now reliably republican. Nothing is sturdy. Many years ago there was a consensus that Florida was out of GOP. This theory is as dead as Soleimani. This is the sublime goal of the investment, because the Republicans have proved that they can win here, but it will take up work, like everything in politics.
