There’s a lot of bad news about the 2024 Republican campaign, and I have it he covered it up in detailbut this is what objectivity requires one also correctly assess what’s going right, and for Republicans, there’s a lot going right right now. First and above allthere have been huge changes at the Republican National Committee with the firing of the completely useless Ronna McDaniel and the elevation of Michael Whatley and Lara Trump. Next, Donald Trump is in a position where it looks like he’s likely to win the presidency if current trends continue… that’s damn likely. And finally, we seem to be doing pretty well in Senate races. There are many reasons for hope.
We’re not used to this, but the RNC has been doing everything right for the past week. The organization collapsed completely for seven years under the rule of the stupidest member of the Romney family. People like RedState Jennifer van Laar and super lawyer Harmeet Dhillon was pointing out how she was wasting tons of money on useless crap, donors stopped giving and she just continued wasting tons of money money for useless nonsense. She studiously ignored citizens and imagined that her role was to go on television and talk about politics as if anyone cared what some party bureaucrat thought. But now she’s gone and get rid of it.
Her successors, surprisingly, did the right thing and did it right away. First they cut down a lot of deadwood at the RNC by firing a lot of people. Some call it a purge of non-believers, but it’s actually: purge of the unattainable. To have Have you seen a lot of election integrity lately? People who don’t do their job well should be fired. It used to be basic knowledge and understood by Republicans. However, apparently some people believe that we should have a term of office system in the party apparatus. NO. Party suckers and functionaries should live in constant fear that they will be fired if they do not perform their duties appropriately. These mass layoffs are a great sign. New management has even started building Election Integrity Team.
There are more great signs. First, Lara Trump reached out to Scott Pressler. Everyone knows Scott. He’s one of the nicest guys in the world and has embarked on a personal crusade to crisscross the country to register voters. He is a one-man, grassroots tsunami. For some bizarre reason, Ronna McDaniel stubbornly refused to contact the base’s hero, as if she knew better how to motivate voters than the guy who actually motivated voters. Time will tell what the relationship between the recent RNC and Scott Pressler will be, but the fact that Lara Trump has made public contact is a huge indicator that the RNC is moving in a different, smarter direction. The next thing recent leaders should do is publicly and thoroughly explain their legal strategy law a victory for grassroots residents. This is something that rebuilds the voters’ damaged trust.
Donors They are already noticing these changes and are starting to open their wallets again. I have written about the disastrous failure to come up with any plan to address legal fees, and I received tremendous comments from Republicans who told me they were sitting on their hands rather than writing checks because they thought their money would be wasted. We have much better things to do than spend money on Ronny McDaniel beauty treatments. There’s a lot of cash sitting on the sidelines, waiting to come in if donors see that it won’t be wasted on shoddy mediocrity.
Yes, our first reaction when we saw Lara Trump, the candidate’s daughter-in-law, listed as one of the co-chairs was surprise. Wouldn’t this be the kind of lame nepotism that is ruining so much of our country? But Lara Trump has done everything right so far. Her relationship with the president doesn’t disqualify her any more than it qualifies her. Actions speak louder than words and she takes the right action. We need to support people who do the right thing. This is good news.
There is also good news for her father-in-law. Look at the polls and you’ll see that Trump is leading in most battleground states, and in those where he isn’t, this grumpy, perverted, senile weirdo is barely ahead. Sure, he’s still self-destructive and can’t contain his rage at Ron DeSantis for refusing to bow down, but you can scream that the enemy is afraid when he pushes stupid and obvious lies like “bloodbath.” They have to do something because Crusty is the lowest in the polls.
The Democrats’ plan to frame Donald Trump and steal the election simply didn’t work. People see the bullshit for what it is. It’s a joke. Hell, the chubby idiot stalking him in Atlanta is just one step away from being disbarred and charged with perjury. One day Trump will face a (show) trial over this joke about the New York case and he will probably be convicted by a 90% communist jury and guess what? This will give him even more support from patriots who don’t want America to turn into America even more banana Republic. Americans are not idiots – well, most of them. They understand that it is transported by rail. They understand that this is a kangaroo court. They understand that Joe Biden’s only chance of re-election at this point is to throw his opponent to prison on trumped-up charges. And they are getting closer to DJT. The disastrous run of mistakes by the terrifying creep who now occupies the Oval Office has changed the dynamics of the election. There was a group of people there for a long time – like 53% – who would just absolutely not consider it vote in favour Trump. Now they had to consider the alternative and, you know, Trump wasn’t that bad considering the 401(k).
And although the House of Representatives is a real mess and there is a high probability that we will lose control, in the Senate it is quite the opposite. We are playing on a good map and we have great candidates. We already have West Virginia in the bag. In Pennsylvania, we have the right candidate, Dave McCormick, without a primary, running against a lackluster Democrat who is embarrassed by John Fetterman’s direct defense of Israel’s right to exist. In Ohio, Sherrod Brown will likely lose to either Republican. First class is Tuesday, and the latest cheesy hit about Bernie Moreno seems to be going nowhere. In Montana, absurdist Matt Rosendale dropped out and is also not seeking re-election to Congress. We have a good chance there. Kari Lake faces some challenges now that Kyrsten Sinema is out, but if she can show voters normalcy and personal warmth, as well as reach out to disgruntled Republicans and successfully wage an anti-choice madness fight, she has a chance in Arizona. It looks like Nevada is getting tougher for Trump, and the Democrats’ useless drone in this seat could also be at risk. Funnily enough, Democrats think that anyone not running against Ted Cruz in Texas has a chance, and they will waste there’s a lot of money there, which is amazing. There is a chance we will take the Senate.
Not everything is rosy. We still have some challenges in terms of election integrity and ensuring that Donald Trump does not alienate the people who currently tentatively support him – cutting himself off from the regime’s media and not using Twitter is probably the best thing that can happen to him. We are also far behind in the money race. But having said that, we have some advantage and we need to press it. This is how you win. And maybe we will win in 2024.
