Comment: Reflections on the counterrevolution in America

Author: Victor Davis Hanson

When Donald Trump entered the office, he met with many elections that confronted the three Republican presidents, Ronald Reagan, George, Hw Bush and George W. Bush. Everyone had a choice to reduce the government and reduce deficits or ponderous Government growth during tax reduction.

They had a choice of operate of American power to restore the deterrent by the warriors (e.g. Grenada, Panama, Iraq, Afghanistan) or attacking enemies without distributing ground troops to change the government.

Republicans can either impose tariffs to provide trade balances and fair trade, or argue that free, even if unfair trade was in the interest of the US by reducing consumer prices, maintaining competitive domestic producers and assuming that foreign subsidies were unbalanced.

They had a choice to reverse the leftist dominance of culture, or moderate its fatted influence.

They could close the open border and eliminate illegal immigration or condemned it publicly, while maintaining a influx of hundreds of thousands a year for the corporate world, not millions.

In general, no republican president of the last 50 years tried to radically reduce the size of the government and balance the budget. None closed the border and did not start deportation. None of them avoided optional ground wars, while hitting only aggressors from the air. Nobody led the cultural counterrevolution to reverse the left march of the left through our institutions.

Why?

Because I did this, it would be a real cultural counterrevolution that would cause an unacceptable level of hatred and resistance on the side of the rooted left-wing-fed by the media, bureaucracy, campus, foundation, Wall Street and Silicon Valley and the Democratic Valley. The latter were considered too hazardous – and hazardous – to confront in one semester, if at all.

At least, this was felt by previous republican administrations. So most remained brilliant and tried to deregulate, reduce taxes, maintain illegal immigration to about 30,000 a month and uses rhetoric to oppose the cultural revolution of the left.

Not with Trump. The purpose of four years of law in wild nature has now become a real counterrevolutionary determined, so as not to ponderous down the progressive trajectory of the last 60 years, but to end it and return it to the center – at least as now as it is now specified by a balanced budget, mutual just trade, full operate of all energy modes, closed border, legal immigration, there is no reference war, there is and fier. Woke/Dei/Esg/Green New Deal Leftwing Leftwing orthodoxy.

Will it work?

The left’s revolution has become so deeply institutionalized that once Bizarra has become a politically correct norm: three, not two, sex; Illegal aliens de facto do not differ from American citizens; country without borders; Huge debt and trade balance disorders over the years supported by almost zero, de facto interest rates; and building a nation abroad when the interior of the country was sanctified.

Trump currently runs a 360-degree, 24/7, so that at least at least 20 years of the latest demonstration of the leftist cultural revolution inaugurated by Barack Obama.

Considering that war and economy often define the heritage of the president’s term of office, Trump’s success or failure will depend on several factors:

1) Flood zone -Can he achieve enough huge cuts for a federal labor force and federal expenditure on realistic equalization of a sustainable budget within 2-3 years? Can he operate the tariffs to resolve the parity in a hard part of panic on Wall Street and reduce our huge commercial deficit-when it stimulates the economy through increased energy production, some income from tariffs, huge revenues of foreign capital and jobs in the private sector, deregulation and tax reductions? Can he end the war in Ukraine during the denuclearization of Iran without blowing up in the Middle East? The answers remain uncertain because no one really tried all these funds at the same time.

2) speed – Speed is vital. He must see most of his main counter -revolutionary steps introduced this year, avoiding recession ahead of time. Otherwise, he can see the recent democratic house of the majority in 2026, which will do nothing but the broadcast, conduct investigations and accuse him. Democrats seem to not want to offer a comprehensive counterattack that would reflect their own ideas on achieving sustainable budgets, a protected border, repelling foreign policy, candid trade and energy dynamism. For now, strangely, these recent Jakobins are de facto Trump’s allies, becoming so undeniable, often so repulsive in their sorrowful rhetoric and street violence, and so bad without constructive alternatives that the counterrevolutionary Trump seems to be compared to the centris.

Everyone knows that the Trump program consisting in limiting the size of the government, balancing the budget, deregulation, achieving trade parity, gas expansion, oil, nuclear and hydroelectric energy, and the operate of mass foreign foreign investment in the US will soon cause a developing economy. But the question is: how long will it take bitter medicine of cutting expenses, federal jobs and the size of the government, forcing commercial symmetry and shocking voters with exemptions and deregulation? In other words, will the recent oncologist be able to apply enough acute radiation and chemotherapy to the nearest patient to see how you recover?

3) Supreme Court. The Supreme Court must restore our Constitutional Tri -Rone Government. The court must stop being allowed to smuggle foreign court policy and national security in the USA-I do it in the next month by insolent court court court policy and national security. Otherwise, a group of smaller federal judges, about 300-400 dissatisfied, but chosen liberal cherries, will basically run a country. Power went to their narcissistic heads and is becoming more and more ridiculed as special lively lawyers – financed by the foundations and committees of political activities – they determine the endless stream of orders and marchs. Currently, once a newer, but now judge Megalomaniac Boasberg believes that he is a stronger adjudicator of American foreign policy and national security than the total strength of the Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, National Security Advisor and President. And he may be right.

4) no error margin -Trump has no error margin, taking into account slender congress and left -wing cultural juggernaut margins.

So far, his emerging counterrevolution has been largely disciplined and well managed. But he can’t afford to avoid psychedelic, such as the still inexplicable signal leakage towards such as Hyper-Partisan Jeffrey Goldberg.

Cabinet officials should be more peaceful, but wear even larger sticks. The entire message Team Trump must be sober and even tragic, without Braggadocio. The latest interview with Fox Brett Baier from the reflective, gentle Elon Musk and his team Doge did more to get the audience to their ungrateful but critical task than all wonderful in social media or theater chain media.

They must remind Americans that Trump’s team has not opened the border, but is now forced to close it if the country is to exist.

Public opinion must remember that it is easily easily allowed to allow 12 million illegal aliens, but it is almost impossible to find them all in the country 345 million.

It is not hard to borrow and spend, but cutting and saving is unspoken and unpopular.

In Washington, there is much less trouble with media celebrities and leak, become a pair of power in list A and playing in tit-for-Tat and Don’t-rock-Te Boat, than to become despised anxiety on behalf of distant people on rural Kansas, along the southern border, or in the inner kitchen without loyalty.

It is uncomplicated to smile, accumulate and give away money and obligations abroad at the top, while foreign Welch leaders in their military obligations and follow the unbalanced trade surplus from the USA. But this is another thing to demand from our allies and neutral trade parity, reciprocity and preservation of defense obligations as prime ministers and their state media, damn crazy or sinister.

To sum up, we are witnessing the greatest effort, or rather restoring the US from the first 100 days of the FDR radical revolution. This can be successful even against the nihilism of the street theater, the main current of vulgarity, neo-terrorism, the law and the congress circus against him.

But success depends on the speed and impudence (“Audacity, boldness, always brave!”;
