Washington – President Donald Trump sent mixed news on Monday about whether he negotiated a contract with democrats to extend improved tax breaks for people who receive health insurance from the market of the Act on inexpensive care, one of the main problems that led to the closing of the government.

His comments appeared shortly before the Senate banned for the fifth time on short-term governmental financial accounts, voting 45-50 on the proposals of Democrats and 52-42 on the Republican Republican Stopgap act. They both needed at least 60 votes to develop.

Nevada Senator Catherine Cortez Masto and senator Pennsylvania John Fetterman, both Democrats, as well as an independent senator Maine Angus King voted with republicans to develop their many weeks of financing law. Kentucky Gop Sen. Rand Paul voted no.

Trump said during a press conference, “Some very good things may happen in relation to healthcare”, and “if we concluded the right contract, I would conclude a contract, for sure” before I have sharply criticized the healthcare law of 2010, also called Obamacare.

“This is a problem with Obamacare. Subsidies are so much – billions of dollars are wasted,” said Trump. “And we could have much better health care than now. And we talk to them. I’m not saying that this will happen.”

Trump focused on a enormous part of his campaign for the presidency in terms of repealing and replacing the healthcare law, but the Republicans were not able to do it with united government control in the first half of the first term.

After the Democrats swept away in the 2020 elections, they increased tax breaks for people who buy health insurance through the ACA market in the Coronawirus Aid Act. These improved subsidies are to expire at the end of December.

Democratic leaders called Republicans for weeks to negotiate a bilateral agreement in order to extend the increased tax breaks against open registration starting on November 1.

This did not happen, and the Democrats largely voted against the promotion of the Act on expenditure on the foot written by republicans, which were needed to finance the government after the end of September.

“On another planet”

The leader of the minority of the Senate Chuck Schumer, Dn.y., said during a speech on the floor shortly before Trump from the oval office that the president and leaders of GOP seemed “to be on another planet.”

“Instead of trying to solve this closing crisis, Donald Trump spent the weekend playing golf and publishing memes and deep cabinets on the Internet,” said Schumer. “It looks like this closing is a great joke. It’s wrong.”

Schumer published a statement after Trump’s press conference, saying that both sides do not negotiate, despite the fact that the president said: “We talk to the democrats.”

“For months, democrats have been calling for Donald Trump and Congress Republicans to come to the table and working with us to obtain lower costs and better health care for the American nation,” wrote Schumer. “If President Trump and Republicans are finally ready to sit down and do something on healthcare for American families, the democrats will be there – ready to do it.”

Marshal Mike Johnson, R-la., Said during the morning press conference that after the closure he would negotiate with democrats about improved tax breaks on the ACa market.

But Johnson pointed out that he believes that expiring expansion probably requires resolution before opening registration next month.

“They said that some insurance companies send notifications at the beginning of November. The last time I checked, it is October 6. We have all October,” said Johnson. “We will stop here around the clock to go through all these things, but we must open the government again to do this.”

Discussion on the transfer of accounts

The Chamber was during the break from mid -September, and Johnson refused to bring representatives until the Senate approves the act on re -opening the government.

Johnson revealed during a press conference that a few days ago he had a “fruitful conversation” with a member of the Patty Murray Senate Committee, D-Wash, with an annual government financing process, which legislators were to complete at the beginning of the financial year on October 1.

Johnson said he assured Murray that he would have voices on the floor in the final bilateral versions A dozen bills for the whole year After the Democrats and the Republicans responsible for each subcommittee came up with a contract.

“I’m ready to work,” said Johnson. “But we have to open the government so that they can go to this next level, so that the conference committee can do this work. This is a small democracy at the best edition; you get RS and DS, all in the room, and they throw it away, and whatever this is the final product, we will go through this process.”

The Chamber adopted three year -round government financing accounts with the party’s votes, and the Senate approved three wide voting.

Lack of approval of all bills on time, combined with the inability to approve the alloy expenditure in order to maintain financing on autopilot, while the legislators work out the final contract for the whole year, so the closure began.

Demes say that double -sided conversations needed to end the closure

Murray later published in social media that double -sided conversations between congress leaders are the best option of closing.

“Now I will repeat what I said @Speakerjohnson: the only path forward begins with him and @leaderjohnthune talk to the leaders Schumer and Jeffries,” Murray wrote. “This month there are premium increases. We need a contract that re -opens the government and stops the doubling of contributions.”

The press secretary of the White House Karoline Leavitt said during the afternoon briefing, before Trump said that “he was definitely involved in repairing and improving our healthcare system”, although she refused to determine whether he supports the extension of increased ACA tax relief as they were.

Leavitt also decided not to answer questions about when the administration will start releasing federal employees by thousands, saying that the White House budget office is still consulting with the secretaries of the office to determine which employees may lose their jobs.

“We’ll see how you vote tonight,” Leavitt said, referring to the Senate’s Monday’s voting on stopping bills.

Rural air services, air traffic controllers

Transport secretary Sean Duffy said during a press conference at the Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, that closing means that only a few days of financing the Service Service program remained, which provides the federal “subsidies for airlines” of rural communities.

“This money ends this Sunday, so there are many small communities in the whole country that will no longer have resources to make sure they have an air service in their community,” said Duffy.

He said that Alaska would be most affected by this special effect of financing.

Duffy said that there was a “slight” augment in the number of air traffic controllers calling the patients during closing, but added that he had not yet caused any safety challenges. All this will change if transport officials believe that the staff is not suitable for the number of flights.

“If we see that there are problems in the tower that affect the controllers’ ability to effectively control the airspace, reduce the stake and you will see more delays or see cancellation,” said Duffy. “I am ready to do this before we are ready to risk living in the air.”

Duffy, a former Republican Congressmen from Wisconsin, said he had spoke earlier on the same day with air traffic controllers who were thinking about working in companies sharing to pay bills, because they would not be paid only after the closure is completed.

He said that the effects of financing, including air traffic controllers, worrying about how they will meet, are problematic, especially if they are dispersed during change or exhausted from other work.

“I don’t want them to find a second job to pay bills,” said Duffy. “I want them to receive payment for the work they do today, keeping our planes in the air and the sky at a safe level.”

Duffy also repeated the administration of transport safety or TSA, which shields people entering the airports, are in the Internal Security Department, not for.
