If the presidential election took place today in 2020, according to the newly published survey, most Republican voters would again choose President Trump.
The CNN/des Moines Register/MediaCom probe showed that 67 percent of Republicans in the state will vote for the president, while 19 percent of GOP voters will consider another candidate. Ten percent of the Republicans in Iowa said that he would definitely choose someone else.
Interestingly, the study also showed that most of the Republican voters, 63 percent, would accept GOP bringing contenders to Trump at Iowa clubs in 2020. Twenty -six percent of republican voters do not think that other GOP candidates should be encouraged to challenge the challenge to challenge President.
Participation in the favor of welcoming contenders is higher among the Republicans of Iowa with higher levels (72%) than among people without a degree (56%). It is also higher among women (66%) than men (60%), and among younger Republicans (67% among people under 45) than the older (60% age 45 years and more feels this way). And those who consider themselves “very conservative” are much less inclined that the party has welcomed contenders (47%) than those who are less conservative or moderate. These differences correspond to a stronger support for Trump in some cases – gender and ideology, especially – but not all.
A general cordial attitude does not mean, however, that the GOP of State is particularly cordial to those who were critical of Trump.
Republicans from Iów more often have positive views on those political characters that were sometimes warmer towards Trump than those who are routinely critical. Texas Senator Ted Cruz, Senator Florida Marco Rubio and soon Utah Sen. Mitt Romney, Republicans, who were one -off critics of the president, but at a different time supported him publicly, everyone has fundamentally favorable survey grades. Those who were more explicitly and consistently critical, including the meaningful sense. Jeff Flake and Bob Corker and the output Governor Ohio John Kasich, are less positively viewed. (CNN)
The survey that has a 4.6 percentage error margin was conducted on December 10 and December 13 among 450 registered Republican voters in Iów.
