Trump predicts two Democrats he believes will be ‘finalists’

President Trump presented his prediction for the two candidates between whom he believes the Democratic race for the party’s nomination will take place.

Amid a crowded field, the president said he thinks it will ultimately be a showdown between Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and former Vice President Joe Biden, who hasn’t even officially entered the race.

“I believe it will be Crazy Bernie Sanders vs. Sleepy Joe Biden as the two finalists going up against perhaps the best economy in the history of our country (and MANY other great things)!” he wrote. “I can’t wait to meet whoever it may be. May God rest their souls!”

Sanders appeared to respond to the tweet, writing: “It looks like President Trump is afraid of our campaign. He should be.”

Trump seemed fully confident that he would defeat any Democratic challenger, and later retweeted a message from Turning Point USA founder and president Charlie Kirk about the seemingly insurmountable obstacles Trump faced while running in 2016.

“It is a miracle that Trump not only defeated the Bush dynasty, 16 Republicans, the FBI, the media, voter fraudsters, the political class, the Clinton dynasty, the Obamas, the elites of BOTH parties, but also defeated the tech companies that used their platforms to try to defeat him.” – Kirk wrote on Twitter.

The Democratic candidates’ slate includes South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, California Republican Eric Swalwell, Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, Bernie Sanders, Amy Klobuchar, Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker and Kamala Harris, former Representative Beto O’Rourke, former Governor John Hickenlooper, Governor Jay Inslee, former San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, Republican Tulsi Gabbard, former Rep. John Delaney, Miramar, Florida, Mayor Wayne Messam, author Marianne Williamson and former technology executive Andrew Yang.
