The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned that a House committee is scheduled to investigate the historic augment in illegal immigration to China next week.
The House Homeland Security Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations and Accountability will hold a hearing on Thursday on the roughly 8,000 percent augment in illegal Chinese immigration the U.S. has experienced since March 2021, a committee spokesman told DCNF. Most recently DCNF revealed internal email from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) showing that the Biden administration dramatically simplified the vetting process for Chinese illegal immigrants in April 2023, which increased the speed of Chinese illegal immigrants entering the country.
The CBP email told Border Patrol agents to reduce the 40 questions they were required to ask Chinese illegal immigrants to just five “basic questions” about their “military service,” “universities,” “place of birth/region,” “employment” and “employments”. Political party.”
North Carolina Republican Dan Bishop, chairman of the Oversight, Investigations and Accountability Subcommittee, told DCNF that “a wide open border represents a ripe opportunity for [Chinese Communist Party] undermine our national security.”
“This dramatic increase requires close scrutiny, especially as Border Patrol agents have been instructed to limit screening of Chinese nationals to get them into the country more quickly,” Bishop said. “As the CCP continues its quest for geopolitical dominance and threatens our sovereignty, we must examine the risks posed by allowing more and more minimally verified Chinese nationals into our communities.”

According to the commission, U.S. authorities encountered 24,376 Chinese nationals on the southwest border in fiscal year 2024 alone. In February 2024, the Republican National Committee passed a resolution condemning the Biden administration’s immigration policies, citing the national security threat posed by illegal entry into country of “Chinese men of military age”, says DCNF reported.
Ammon Blair, a former Border Patrol agent and Army veteran, told DCNF that “being a Border Patrol agent during the influx of Chinese illegal immigrants was like being confronted with a scene from Red Dawn.”
“Gradually it began to feel like our role was being dictated by the administration’s current policies, from honorably defending our borders to paradoxically laying out a ‘Silk Road’ for our adversaries,” said Blair, who now works as a senior fellow at the Texas Public Policy Foundation. “This policy evolution appears to be related to the CCP invasion and related threats, such as cyber warfare, the drug war with Mexican cartel proxies, and economic destabilization.”
The simplification the Chinese illegal immigrant vetting process and other Biden administration policies “have created the perfect conditions” for “infiltration by Chinese espionage agents,” Todd Bensman, senior national security fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies, told DCNF.
“Intelligence community assessments show that China intends to intensify its espionage campaigns and political repression in the U.S. in the coming years and will need an increased manpower to do so,” said Bensman, who is one of three experts scheduled to testify at Thursday’s hearing. .

Bensman’s testimony will include photos of ID cards and passports discarded by Chinese illegal immigrants immediately after crossing the southern border of the United States, a committee source told DCNF.
Cory Gautereaux, a tiny business owner and veteran living near the San Diego border, collected these discarded materials and shared them with Bensman.
Gautereaux told DCNF that he believes illegal immigration from China poses a “serious threat to national security.”
“If they reject ID and hide their identity, there is a reason for it,” Gautereaux said. “Since our elected leaders are reluctant to visit the border, I will be happy to physically deliver these items to Washington, D.C., and testify to what I saw.”
