Sarah told a story today: The liberal media went apoplectic after Trump warned of a “bloodbath” this year. During a weekend rally in Ohio, the former president explained how China’s trade policies are primed to hurt American families. Here’s how the media framed these comments compared to what was actually said:
We are witnessing the invention of the “bloodbath” scam in real time

I don’t usually defend Trump, but this is ridiculous, ridiculous, unfair and a total lack of respect for the American people, @SpeakerPelosi
This is the kind of rhetoric that is ruining America. https://t.co/OwgSd3g9Y4

The media is lying about Donald Trump, talking about a “bloodbath” if he loses the election. He spoke very clearly about the car industry – before and after using the word.
You have to be extremely dishonest to take what he says as… pic.twitter.com/qhctYGpi7K

If you’re listening, President Xi – and you and I are friends – but he understands my way of doing things. These huge monster car factories that you are building now in Mexico… you will not employ Americans and you will sell us cars, no. We will impose a 100% tariff on every car that comes through this border, and if I am elected, they will not be allowed to be sold.
If I am not elected, it will be a slaughter for the entire society – that will be the least of it all […] This will be a slaughter for the country. This will be the least. But they are not going to sell these cars. They build huge factories.
Yes, this is one of the reasons for the lack of trust in the media. It’s also peculiar because five days ago the same clowns used the word “bloodbath” to describe Trump’s indirect change of the Republican National Committee.
SUPER CUT!
Trump’s critics would never exploit a term like “bloodbath” pic.twitter.com/6dSTMwsfJa

Just five days ago, the MSM used the term “bloodbath” to describe some of the people being fired from the RNC.🤣 pic.twitter.com/kdg5UjjFWE

It’s the same aged story: he rules for you, but not for me. This ‘bloodbath’ fiasco may be Trump’s worst meltdown this year…yet. We have a long road ahead of us until the 2024 elections.

Ian Bremmer hates Trump. Most of Ian’s views on foreign policy and the interests and programs he works on make Trump a threat.
However, there is no problem in stating how extreme and gross the media distortion of Trump’s “bloodbath” comment is.
The American media has no standards. https://t.co/zcumx75mti
