Jim Jordan Lists ‘Terrible Things’ Democrats Said and Did to Remove Trump from Power

During a Wednesday evening meeting of the House Judiciary Committee to discuss the articles of impeachment, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) reminded Americans of the enormous effort Democrats had to make to impeach President Donald Trump.

He made it clear: This whole impeachment scandal is not about Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky or his request that he investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

“This is not about Ukraine. The facts are on the president’s side. Zelensky said he was not pressured. The Ukrainians did not even know the aid was in the talks, and most importantly, they did nothing to release it,” Jordan explained. “This is about one fundamental fact: the Democrats have never accepted the will of the American people… The attacks on the president began before the election.”

He recounted numerous instances where Democrats have targeted Trump, such as when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said the president “is a fraud” and when the FBI opened an investigation into the Trump campaign using Steele’s biased dossier.

“They lied, [FISA] The Court 17 times. He didn’t tell the Court that the guy who wrote the dossier was desperate to stop Trump. He didn’t tell the Court that the guy who wrote the dossier worked for the Clinton campaign. He didn’t tell the Court that the guy who wrote the dossier was fired by the FBI for leaking information to the press, and the FBI was continuing to investigate,” Jordan said.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) once said the Intelligence Community has “six ways to get back at you starting Sunday” if someone messes with it.

“The president was told he was not under investigation, when in fact they were investigating him and trying to trap him,” the Republican explained. “…and of course they continued to investigate him after the inauguration.”

He also reminded Americans of the resources spent on special counsel Robert Mueller’s two-and-a-half-year investigation into collusion with Russia.

“19 lawyers. 48 agents. 500 warrants. 2,800 subpoenas. But zero collusion,” Jordan said. “But the Democrats don’t care about the facts and they never will.”

And before Mueller testified before the House Judiciary Committee, 16 Democrats on the committee voted to begin impeachment proceedings, “before President Trump and President Zelensky even picked up the phone.”

“They will never stop attacking because they can’t stand the fact that President Trump is draining the swamp and doing what he said he would do and, most importantly, getting results,” he explained. “Tax cuts. Regulation cuts. The economy growing at an incredible rate. The lowest unemployment in 50 years. Gorsuch and Kavanaugh on the Court. Getting out of the Iran deal. An embassy in Jerusalem. The North Korean hostages coming home. Oh, and by the way, a new NAFTA deal any day now.”

But at the heart of Democrats’ hatred of President Trump is their contempt for most of the country, for those of us who are a transient nation.

“They will never stop. It’s not just that they don’t like the president. They don’t like us. They don’t like the 63 million people who voted for this president, all of us in flyover country, us regular people in Ohio, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Texas, they don’t like us,” he explained. “…They don’t like the president. They don’t like the president’s supporters, and they don’t like us enough to arm the government.”

Democrats tried to employ the IRS to attack conservatives, then it was the FBI, and now it’s “the impeachment power of Congress going after 63 million people and the guy we put in the White House.”
