Governor Ron DeSantis (R-Fla) not only fought for the freedom of his state of Florida, but also did everything he could to support Republicans across the country ahead of the midterm elections.
With less than three weeks left in the election, DeSantis was promoting and endorsing Republican candidates to win key gubernatorial posts and regain majorities in the House and Senate.
Earlier this year, the Florida governor traveled with the conservative group Turning Point Action to campaign and show support for J.D. Vance (R-OH), Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Blake Masters (R-AZ).
He also made robocalls to Sen. Adam Laxalt (R-NV), with whom DeSantis is friends from the military, Gov. Kevin Stitt (R-Oklahoma) and Senate candidate Joe O’Dea (R-Colo.).
Charlie Kirk of Turning Point Action told Fox News that DeSantis is a “role model for a new conservative movement” that has endorsed candidates like Kari Lake (E-AZ) and Masters, whom he also endorsed.
“November 8, 2022, will be the day America stands up for itself,” DeSantis said he said as they rally for Lake and Masters. “We will fight the failed leadership of Joe Biden. We will fight the lockdown politicians across the country who are ruining people’s lives, and we will fight the failed Congress that will lead to Nancy Pelosi retiring.”
During DeSantis’ visit to Ohio, the governor said that “Republicans need to regain the majority, and I think we can do that.”
In support of DeSantis’s words, Vance praised the governor for standing up for the country and the American people.
“Thank you for being patriotic enough, for caring enough about this country to go out and fight for it.” Vance said.
DeSantis promised to work with GOP governors to “keep our states free” and regain control of the country.
