If you watch Tim Ryan’s commercials or his TV appearances, the image he tries to portray is that of a tough, blue-collar, moderate, independent thinker who is not beholden to any political party. That’s the facade he tried to maintain during yesterday’s Ohio Senate debate, repeating similar themes. If you didn’t know anything about this man’s past, the following statement may be tempting.
However, if you know anything about the aforementioned recording, it is a see-through and disingenuous trick:
Tim Ryan attacks JD Vance for not standing up to Republican leaders like he stood up to Democrats: I ran against Nancy Pelosi. I spoke out against Bernie Sanders. I opposed Joe Biden. And I agreed with Trump on a lot of issues.

Unfortunately, when the time came, Ryan voted literally 100 percent time for the Biden/Pelosi agenda. On every vote — all — Ryan was a reflective, leadership-honoring, partisan Democrat. No moderation, no independence. Complete obedienceIn a charming ad he’s running in the Buckeye State, Ryan compares politics to marriage, noting that even spouses disagree on some issues. Ryan may disagree with his wife on many issues, but he votes with Biden every time. That’s an extraordinary degree of fidelity. You can’t run as Mr. Independent when your black-and-white voting record shows you’re something else entirely. Ryan won’t get caught in the same room with the president whose agenda he’s relentlessly promoting in the House of Representatives, because that would further contradict the story he’s trying to tell about himself, but he let the mask fall at a party he organized with Chuck Schumer, whom he called his future “boss”:
It’s a entertaining, if accidental, admission that neatly captures his mentality in Congress. Biden and Pelosi have effectively acted as his bosses for years, because he votes for whatever they tell him to. If he somehow gets elected to the Senate, his bosses won’t be Ohioans but a senator from New York and a president whom Ohio voters rejected by eight points in 2020. As for Monday’s debate, just as Blake Masters burned Senator Mark Kelly across the border in Arizona, J.D. Vance fired up Ryan on this matter:
JD VANCE: ‘Tim Ryan has done nothing to stop the flow of fentanyl. He talks about wanting to support a stronger border’ and ‘get things done.’
“Well, Tim, you’ve been in Congress for 20 years, and the border problem just keeps getting worse and worse.” photo:twitter.com/XmHUL8yZpB

And here is an activist supporting the Republican Party exhibiting journalist’s embarrassing incompetence in formulating Vance’s response on abortion:
More specifically: when asked about his views on abortion exceptions, JD Vance stated that he *believes* in exceptions for rape, as in the horrific case of the 10-year-old girl, and also noted that her rapist was an illegal immigrant who should not have been there in the first place. https://t.co/SqivU9QrLl

Tim Ryan’s position on abortion? Don’t even ask. Just check out Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden’s positions (like Biden, Ryan once claimed to be pro-life or very moderate on the issue, only to abandon those “beliefs” out of political expediency), and that’s where he argues. Namely, zero restrictions, up until birth, paid for by taxpayers. He wouldn’t name a single restriction he would support after pressing on the issue, and voted for the barbaric and radical bill that Pelosi pushed through the House — because of course he did. That’s what he does. I’ll leave you with this:
