Republicans Voters Against Trump on Monday announced an $11.5 million ad campaign in several key battleground states aimed at encouraging disaffected GOP voters to support Vice President Kamala Harris.
The ad purchase, which is the most steep campaign the group has launched to date, cost $4.5 million Pennsylvania3 million dollars Michigan$2.2 million Wisconsin and 1.5 million dollars Arizonaand $375,000 Nebraska 2nd Congressional District. The campaign includes video ads and Billboards plastered throughout States featuring Republican voters who initially supported former President Donald Trump but have now sided with Harris.
“Donald Trump has destroyed the Republican Party,” said Sarah Longwell, executive director of Republican Voters Against Trump. he said in a press release Monday. “And with each election cycle, it drives more and more Republicans to vote for Democrats because they believe Donald Trump and the GOP candidates who emulate him are unfit for office. We are helping to elevate the voices of these disgruntled Republicans and build a structure that empowers many more traditional GOP voters to reject Donald Trump and his MAGA movement, even if it means voting for Democrats with whom they may have policy differences.”
“President Trump is building a historic, united movement to Make America Great Again,” Caroline Leavitt, national press secretary for the Trump campaign, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “He has been endorsed by Nikki Haley, RFK Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard. President Trump will continue to pursue Kamala Harris as more and more moderates and independents realize that Kamala Harris is a dangerous liberal who wants to ban guns, supports unleashing violent criminals into our communities, and keeps our border wide open to deadly drugs and criminals. This election is about freedom versus communism.”
Harris slightly ahead of Trump in Pennsylvania by 0.5 points, Michigan by 1.1 points and Wisconsin by 1.4 points, according to an average of RealClearPolitics polls conducted in August. However, Trump is ahead of Harris in Arizona by 0.5 points.
In the remaining key states, Trump is leading by a diminutive margin of 0.2 percentage points. Georgia0.6 points in North Carolina and tying Nevadaaccording to RealClearPolitics poll averages from August.
Republican Accountability Committee, or parent Republican Voters Against Trump, has received most of it Financing from major Democratic donors like tech company founder and Jeffery Epstein associate Reid Hoffman and investor John Pritzker. Other donors include hedge fund manager Seth Klarmancapital investor Robert Stavisfinancier robert Rothhouse and NVIDIA Tench Board Member Coke.
Harris’ campaign did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
