Oh, so that’s why the liberal media is so painfully avoiding the political views of the Dayton shooter

The liberal media is an arm of the Democratic Party and its agenda. That’s no secret. But if they think they can get away with what they’re doing in the Dayton shooting — their arrogance (or stupidity) has reached an all-time high. Sure, there have been some pretty blatant examples, but we’ve also seen some truly epic “hold my beer” moments as the various arms of this corrupt enterprise seem to be competing to outdo each other in showing their liberal biases.

In less than 24 hours, two brutal mass shootings had taken place. A total of 31 people were killed and dozens more injured. In El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, two gunmen carried out senseless acts of carnage. The political gamesmanship began almost immediately. In El Paso, it was a white supremacist whose anti-immigrant views were as clear as his commitment to eco-terrorism. In Dayton, the shooter, Connor Betts, a disturbed individual who had list of murders and rapes of his classmateswas an outspoken leftist who supported Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), gun control, and supported the left-wing extremist group Antifa. These aren’t necessarily the clear-cut cases of white supremacist violence that the media has tried to push on us. There’s a lot of nuance.

Of course the media and the left are trying to blame Trump, his supporters, the NRA, the GOP and anyone else who disagrees. I’m talking about El Paso. They’re not even mentioning Dayton, whose political history as the perpetrator is not worth mentioning. I wonder why?

Well, first let’s pay tribute to our brave law enforcement officers who confronted Betts and killed him 30 seconds after his frenzied attack (via WSJ):

A gunman wearing a bulletproof vest killed nine people and wounded at least 27 in a neighborhood of bars and restaurants, marking the second mass shooting in the U.S. in less than 24 hours and the third in eight days.

The shooter, identified by police as Connor Betts, 24, was killed by police. The alleged shooter’s 22-year-old sister was among those killed, police said, and her companion was among the wounded.

The shooting began just after 1 a.m. Sunday in the Oregon District, a popular spot on weekend nights, officials said. Dayton Police Chief Richard Biehl said officers who regularly patrol the area heard the shots and located the shooter within 20 seconds, then killed him 10 seconds later as he tried to enter the bar.

Now CNN has admitted that Betts supported Antifathough his reporters did everything they could to marginalize the development. This is beyond absurd. Political beliefs matter when they can be used against Republicans and the Trump White House, as in the case of El Paso. But when it’s a leftist killing people — don’t you dare mention his social media history and political views. With Betts, politics aside, he was completely crazy; he showed footage of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting when on a date.

A Twitter account believed to belong to Dayton shooter Connor Betts has been retweeting far-left and anti-police posts, as well as tweets supporting the violent protest group Antifa.

The most recent tweet from @iamthespookster is from Aug. 3, the day of the shooting, when he retweeted a post saying, “Millennials have a message for Joe Biden’s generation: hurry up and die.” He also retweeted support for Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.

Under the Twitter username @iamthespookster, the user description reads: “He/His/Anime fan/Metalhead/Leftist/I’m going to Hell and not coming back.” One of the tweets included the hashtag #HailSatan.

In the hours before the Dayton shooting, the account “liked” several tweets about the El Paso shooting, including one in support of gun control and others that called the El Paso shooting suspect a “terrorist” and a “white supremacist.”

The account also retweeted posts against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, including one that said, “These people are monsters,” as well as multiple posts condemning police and supporting Antifa. There were also many tweets of selfies, photos with a friend, and regular memes and apolitical content.

The account is no longer lively, but Twitter would not confirm to CNN whether it had been deleted. In a statement, it said only that “we actively remove content that violates our policies and will cooperate with law enforcement as appropriate.”

Credit should also be given to local media who interviewed Betts’ former friends who found that the guy was not a right-wing extremist (WHICH):

The final straw in Will El-Fakir and Betts’ relationship was when he pulled out a gun and put it to El-Fakir’s head about five months ago, he said.

[…]

“He became a little aggressive towards his friends,” El-Fakir said. “He started bringing us weapons for no particular reason.”

When the couple broke up five months ago, it wasn’t the first time they had had problems. Several years earlier, El-Fakir said, Betts had been taking drugs and “was definitely not in a good state of mind.” Police have not confirmed any past or present drug employ by Betts.

[…]

El-Fakir, who said he personally supports the Second Amendment, described Betts as “definitely not a right-wing person. His political views were definitely left-wing. And believe it or not, he was actually a gun control advocate. He was actually anti-Second Amendment.”

“I don’t know if that was the motive that made him snap,” El-Fakir said, “(but I think) he put on the bulletproof vest just to show people how easy it is to arm themselves. That’s pure speculation.”

“He has never once expressed a conservative opinion on gun control,” El-Fakir said.

It doesn’t take a detective to understand why the liberal media would rather this story just disappear. It’s not the right kind mass shootings.
