Ohio Republican Senate candidate Bernie Moreno has launched a $25 million advertising campaign across television, radio and flyers.
Moreno, backed by Trump, hopes to oust incumbent Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown in November.
As part of this campaign, he published an ad on Tuesday criticizing Brown for helping to “create a crisis” at the southern US border and emphasizing that his choices were consistent with the votes of Democratic presidential candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Former President Donald Trump endorsed Moreno during a crowded Republican primary in which he defeated Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose and state Sen. Matt Dolan. The tough fight drained Moreno’s bankroll and led to a sluggish pace in advertising until now, according to Politico.
Since April, Brown has booked $43 million for ads.
