Bill Clinton keeps telling miners to abandon the life “they had 50 years ago” while his wife Hillary shouts, “I believe in science!” But isn’t it captivating that the “science” they cling to is 2,000 years out of date?
Greek mathematician Hero of Alexandria invented the original windmill, a machine that harnessed wind to produce power, around 50 A.D. Let’s do the math — 2016 minus 50 is 1966 — which means windmill power is not “new” or “progressive,” but is a relic from 2,000 years ago.
The truth hurts. Especially if you’re a Clinton. Because Clintons prefer shadow to sun. When it was revealed that Bill had sexually abused a White House intern, he chose to lie under oath, and Hillary chose to go on national television and endorse his story despite the indisputable —scientific—evidence of his guilt on a certain stained navy blue dress.
Because Clinton never lets science get in the way of a good story, especially one that will assist him gain political power.
Last week, former President Bill Clinton stood at the podium at the Democratic National Convention and said:
“She [Hillary] sent me to West Virginia in that primary, where she knew we were going to lose, to look those miners in the eye and say I’m here because Hillary sent me to say if you really think you can get back the economy that you had 50 years ago, go ahead, vote for whoever you want. But if she wins, she’s coming back for you, to take you on a journey into the future of America.”
Bill was referring to his controversial decision to campaign for Hillary in the coal mining region of West Virginia after she put her foot in her mouth, saying, “We’re going to bankrupt a lot of miners and coal companies.”
Oops. Hillary was soon called out by an unemployed miner named Bo Copely, who told her that her statement had upset him and many other miners who, as he put it, “don’t see you as a friend.”
The truth is that most Americans aren’t worried about coal power or climate change — they’re worried about terrorism and the economy. Harris Interactive found that 7 percent drop in the number of Americans who turn off lights when not in employ to escalate energy efficiency and 8 percent drop Number of Americans who replaced incandescent airy bulbs with fluorescent bulbs between 2012 and 2015.
More than 31,000 scientists seem to share the same view as the average American who is not concerned about climate change. These scientists signed the Global Warming Petition Project in 2014, stating, “…there is substantial scientific evidence that increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations are producing many beneficial effects on the natural habitats of plants and animals on Earth.”
Clinton’s ‘Science’ Helps Elites, Hurts Everyone Else
The so-called “green” technologies the Clintons support—such as wind, hybrid, and solar power—will deprive indigent people of access to transportation, heating, and air conditioning while helping political elites enrich themselves.
We are currently supplying coal one third electricity in America. Coal is pristine and low-cost, and has gotten cleaner and cheaper over the years. Wind power, on the other hand, is muddy—it eats up huge swaths of land; it causes optical pollution; and killing over 573,000 birds a year.
Renewable energy is costly for taxpayers. Take Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk, a pseudo-entrepreneur who used his friendship with Obama to get a front-row seat at his presidential inauguration AND a $465 million Department of Energy loan at a very low interest rate, ten times lower than what Tesla would pay on the open market.
Wall Street Journal included reports from last May showing that Tesla batteries were “currently too expensive for widespread use.” Musk is a billionaire. He didn’t need a subsidy. But money talks in politics, and Obama rewarded his loyalty.
For those Americans who Power can afford a Tesla, their lives are at risk. Tesla builds electric cars that are more like electric death traps. In May, a former Navy SEAL was killed while driving a Tesla S sports car and using its self-driving technology (“Autopilot”).
Tesla S’s Autopilot technology fell miniature of Musk’s expectations. He promised, “The car will always take care of you.”
Unfortunately, Musk’s Tesla S “dealt with” his SEAL the way a SEAL might “deal with” a terrorist—by killing him. The Tesla S chose to collide with a tractor-trailer on a Florida highway, killing the SEAL. It was a clear, shining day—which made the accident all the more unforgivable. It wasn’t like the self-driving car got “disoriented” in a snowstorm or pouring rain.
Just as Hillary was quick to blame the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi in a little-known video on the internet, Tesla was quick to blame vivid sun for Tesla killing SEAL. If this excuse weren’t so gloomy, it would be humorous.
Tesla is no anomaly. Three out of four Americans who traded in an electric or hybrid car for a nonrenewable, gas-only car in 2016, according to Edmunds. Americans are known for their love affair with the automobile, but they simply can’t fall in love with cars powered by renewable energy. Why would the average American — who currently earns less than $30,000 a year — pay $3,000 more for a hybrid version of a Toyota Camry?
Hillary doesn’t seem to care that customary energy is cheaper than renewable energy. Nor has she outlined her plan to replace coal miners’ jobs, except that they’ll somehow find great jobs in the green energy sector. But if Americans aren’t buying renewable products like cars and airy bulbs, how can she be so sure? If birds — and even people — are dying because of windmills, solar projects, and electric cars, how can she be so eager to eliminate proven and reliable sources of energy like coal?
“Donald Trump is digging coal!” his vice presidential candidate, Gov. Mike Pence, proudly declared at last month’s Republican National Convention in Ohio. That’s a great reason to dig Trump. Let the Clintons stick to costly and hazardous energy technologies that are 2,000 years behind the times.
