Since the 2020 election, several lawmakers have raised the alarm that migrants may be voting in U.S. elections illegally.
Concerns are growing again as the 2024 presidential election approaches.
According to an analysis by the left-wing American Immigration Council, more than 23 million immigrants are expected to vote in the upcoming election, showing how much electoral power the annual importation of more than a million immigrants to the United States has provided to naturalized citizens.
“As more immigrants naturalize and become eligible to vote, they continue to gain political power,” the analysis said. “The number of immigrant voters is only expected to increase in the next decade, and in some states foreign-born voters are already able to decide elections.”
More from Breitbart News on the data:
The analysis shows that those eligible to vote are those born abroad will do it again constitute approx 1 in 10 of all eligible voters in 2024 — a likely unprecedented level in the U.S. electorate of foreign-born eligible voters, giving enormous voting power to those not born in the U.S. The percentage of the American electorate that is foreign-born is extremely significant because presidential elections, especially in swing states, are often decided by slim margins. President 2020 choicefor example, the decision was made by only seven million votes. In Nevada, President Joe Biden defeated former President Donald Trump by only about 33,500 votes, as well as by 10,400 votes in Arizona, almost 11,800 votes in Georgia, about 81,600 votes in Pennsylvania, 154,000 votes in Michigan and just over 20,600 votes in Wisconsin. Foreign-born voters are significantly more likely to support Democratic presidential candidates than Republican candidates. Although the data was monitored during the 2016 election, pollsters declined to track the data during the 2020 election. However, in 2016, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton won foreign-born voters by 64 percent compared to Trump’s 31 percent, CNN exit polls showed. Meanwhile, Trump won American-born voters by 49 percent compared to Clinton’s 45 percent. In other words, if the 2016 election depended on foreign-born voters, Clinton would have defeated Trump in a historic situation.
The analysis comes as President Joe Biden is under enormous pressure to enhance voter turnout ahead of the election.
Rep. Mike Johnson (La.) warned this Biden wants to turn illegal immigrants into Democratic voters — which is why the administration is looking the other way in the face of one of the worst border crises in U.S. history.
“The Biden administration did this on purpose. [Department of Homeland Security] Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas did it on purpose. For what reason? Everyone asks me about it all the time. “I think ultimately they hope to turn all the illegal immigrants into voters for their side,” Johnson said. “It sounds sinister, but there is no other explanation for what is happening there. This is an absolute humanitarian crisis and now a national security crisis – truly a disaster – and they could reverse it overnight if they wanted to, but they don’t.”
Earlier this year, California considered a measure allowing non-citizens to vote in local elections.
While Democrats support allowing more illegal aliens into the country, Republicans say such a measure would undermine the value of being an American citizen.
New York City was also considering a similar measure. However, the state Supreme Court overturned that decision.
Meanwhile, in some states, including Ohio, Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Minnesota and North Dakota, banned foreigner direct voting.
