The entire Republican Party in Ohio supports Trump

As we get closer to the 2024 election, longtime supporters and even never Trumpers they are leaving home to support former President Trump in his bid for the White House.

This week, the entire Republican Party in Ohio endorsed Trump’s re-election bid, making him the first Ohio Republican Party to express its support for the 45th president this election year.

“President Trump has demonstrated time and time again that despite the insane and merciless attacks of the radical left, he will never give up the fight for Ohio workers, businesses and families,” Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex M. Triantafilou said in a news release. “His uncompromising leadership and commitment to putting America first is exactly what we need to reverse course from the failed policies of Joe Biden and Sherrod Brown.”

According to polls, 2024 is increasingly looking like a rematch of 2020 between President Joe Biden and Trump.

Though miniature, Trump has +1.7 advantage over Biden, who is reportedly having problems with his re-election campaign.

Notably, the Buckeye State has remained still on its support for Ohio native and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, who is also seeking the Republican Party nomination.

“While we appreciate all of the Republican Party candidates who are passionately making their case to the American people, it is clear that President Trump is the right choice at this time,” Triantafilou continued.

According to the Morning Consult poll, Trump took the crown over his GOP rivals with a 50-point lead over Gov. Ron DeSantis (Florida), finishing second with 14 percent.

The same poll showed Trump with 64% support among GOP voters in the primary, former ambassador Nikki Haley with 10%, Ramaswamy with 6% and former Gov. Chris Christie with just 3%.

Meanwhile, the FiveThirtyEight poll also showed Trump leading by a wide margin, averaging 60% of the vote, followed by DeSantis with 12.6%, Haley with 9.5% and Ramaswamy with 5.1%.
