According to reports in The Wall Street Journal, billionaires Elon Musk and Nelson Peltz are engaged in an ongoing campaign on powerful networks aimed at persuading influential businessmen across the country not to support President Joe Biden’s re-election efforts.
Muskowner of the social media platform X, is a prominent critic of Biden and has met with many investigations originating from the administration of the current president since the purchase of the company formerly called Twitter. Musk and others who share his political views are holding meetings targeting Biden, according to people familiar with the discussions, WSJ reported.
Peltz, founder of the investment firm Trian Partners, he said The Financial Times reported in March that it planned to support Trump due to immigration issues and concerns about Biden’s “mental state.”

Musk, Peltz and others plan to continue hosting dinners and meetings across the U.S. with business elites that will focus on Biden’s policy failures, one of the people told WSJ.
Former President Donald Trump and Musk have discussed a potential CEO position for X in the Trump administration if he is re-elected, although that is not certain, according to the WSJ. They also discussed ways to provide President X with the opportunity to officially advise and influence the president’s policy regarding various issues, e.g. the border and the economy.
Moreover, Musk and Peltz told Trump about an initiative they were working on to fund a data project to combat voter fraud, some people told WSJ. Musk and Trump have amiable phone calls several times a month on topics such as immigration, technology and Space Force.
The New York Times on Friday article criticized Musk for the alleged attempt influence the outcome of the 2024 presidential election, questioning the fact that he tends to attack Biden and defend Trump. Musk targeted the current president.
Biden encouraged investigation into Musk shortly after the billionaire took control of X in October. Musk’s companies, X, Tesla and SpaceX, were involved in investigations led by Biden administration since taking over the platform.
“I voted Democrat in the past because it was (mostly) the party of goodness,” Musk sent on X in May 2022, while he was still in the process of purchasing the platform. “But they have become a party of division and hatred, so I can no longer support them and will vote for Republicans. Now watch their campaign against me unfold.
Musk, X, Peltz, the Biden campaign and the Trump campaign did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
