According to the latest study, the huge majority of Americans require immigrants to adapt to American culture and learn English and at least some means to encourage this behavior.
Ninety -six percent of registered voters expressed the belief that immigrants were essential to learn English, in this 75%, which stated that it was “very important”, according to the Napolitan News survey. In addition, seventy -six percent approved by President Donald Trump Executive Order establishing English as an official languageincluding 96% of republicans and 52% of democrats.
The audience was more divided into emission of government forms only in English, and 45% support this movement, 50% want their availability in other languages, and 5% uncertain. The numbers almost reversed when the case turned into voting, and 50% claims that they should only be available in English, and 48% claims that they should be in other languages.
By pressing the importance of assimilation, 61%said that immigrants are the most essential to adapt to American culture, compared to 27%, who stated that they should prioritize their country’s culture and 12%who were not sure.
The Americans also expressed the view that immigrants had to support the founding ideals in the country, and 49% claims that it was very essential, and 38% claims that it was a bit essential.
On March 6, out of 1000 registered voters, the survey has a margin of errors +/- 3.1%.
