Republican Senator Bernie Moreno (R-OH) recently thought about his roots in connection with the ongoing conflict between President Donald Trump and the president of Colombia Gustavo Petro. During the last interview, he revealed that he was born in Colombia and became a naturalized US citizen at the age of 18. Expressing deep attachment to his native country and his people, Moreno emphasized that the Colombians deeply respect the United States and his latest commander, Trump. However, he drew attention to the growing frustration with the current leadership of the nation. Moreno emphasized the widespread dissatisfaction among the Colombians, including political leaders and business, who condemned Petro, calling them “completely outraged”.
“I love Columbia. I have living relatives there. By the way, Colombians love America. They do not love their current president … yesterday you saw that the inhabitants of Colombia, political leaders, business leaders, supported President Trump, condemning Pedro’s actions that are completely outrageous, “said Moreno.
His comments appeared after Petro refused to deport flights from the USA, which meant that Trump threatened Colombia by a 25 -month tariff escalate on all Colombian goods entering the USA, which was to escalate to 50 percent per week. Trump also threatened to introduce travel bans and visa references addressed to Colombian government officials. In response, Petro tried to return the table to Trump and threatened him with a 50 % tariff for American goods.
However, it took only a few minutes before Petro withdrew and said that he would not start taking flights from the USA
Moreno recently announced that it will introduce fresh regulations regarding the imposition of sanctions in Colombia. Senator Tim Scott (rs.c.) and representatives of Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fl.) And Byron Donalds (R-Fl.) In his advertisement joined the Senator Ohio. It is not clear what legislation entails, but stated that it will be unveiled next week.
